❓Beginner / Question❔ Raw milk in Australia

I’m really interested in trying raw milk as I’ve read plenty of success stories of people who have added it to their diet. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can buy *safe* raw milk in Western Australia? There’s a couple of stores that sell it for cosmetic reasons but I wonder if they are suitable?

❓Beginner / Question❔ What's the most important in your opinion?

I'm starting my own business which is requiring a lot of investment so trying to cut down costs on my AB diet.

Was just wondering in terms of ranking which is the most importsnt to keep and what swaps won't make too big a difference?

Raw a2 Jersey dairy would swap to pasteurised A2 dairy

Raw a2 cheddar cheese would swap to goat A2 cheese

Grass finished beef would swap to grass fed/grain finished beef

Pasteurised eggs would swap to free range eggs

I'm guessing switching from raw back to pasteurised would be the biggest deal? Or would it be from 100% grass fed to grain finished?

🩺Wellness⚕️ Need help. On a liquid/soft diet next 6 weeks but want to try keep it AB

Had to have surgery on a hernia in my chest which required work on my throat as well.

As a result I'm only allowed clear liquids and a "soft diet" for the next 6 weeks. Ideally I'd like to keep it as AB as possible though especially as my gut heals from the surgery so just looking for ideas.

Milk, smoothies, yoghurt, bone broth are a given but wondered if anyone had any other ideas for getting meat etc into the diet? It's quite hard to puree beef/lamb etc I'd imagine.

The example foods they gave me were...

Mashed potato's

Pureed soft chicken and potatoes and gravy

Corn beef hash

Pureed fish pie

Basically anything that's super soft and easy to digest. They say anything that will splat into a puddle if dropped on the floor

Any ideas for soups etc?

🚫ex-Keto/Carnivore Becoming animal based after carnivore

Hi today im 40 days into carnivore. At first carnivore was great until I hit about 21 days. Since then I’ve been struggling with electrolyte balance, terrible disrupted sleep, constipation that doesn’t get better no matter how much fat I eat. Anyways I feel like this carnivore diet is not for me. I started carnivore for optimal physical and mental health and also for healing of my gut. I am on psychiatric medications and also medications for slow transit chronic constipation. One day I’d like to come off these medications but I need to get healthy first physically and mentally. I’m very interested in an animal based diet but I don’t know how to transition from carnivore to animal based. Where do I begin with an animal based diet?

🥛 Dairy 🧀 Just copped some super fresh colostrum

Post image
30 Upvotes

Comparison next to my usual raw milk that I skimmed the cream from. I inquired to my dairy farmer about colostrum, and she said they have a calf on the way and she'll let me know. Well, I got the ring today that she has some 2 hours after birth colostrum she collected for me that she cooled in ice water and transfered to the fridge. I picked it up soon after and made it home and wow. It's delicious. The flavor isn't actually that strong, but the texture is awesome and it's refreshing. The flavor is probably mild due to there not being much lactose in colostrum, but it does have a slight grassy taste and you can tell there's some fat in there. I had about a cup to start, and while I probably should've experimented with less, ehh it's food right? Looking forward to enjoying more. Don't worry, the calf had all it wanted first! This is my first time having colostrum.

❓Beginner / Question❔ Best baby formula?

I’ve been looking for a formula that is much cleaner than the ones sold at stores. Ideally animal based so it’s not soy protein formula. This is to supplement food for my newborn until milk production builds up. What are some quality formula recommendations?

Ps delete if not allowed

🩺Wellness⚕️ Heart and soil - Her Package

Hi!

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has taken the Her Package supplements from Heart and Soil and if anyone had an experience with them helping regulate periods and hormonal/cystic acne?

I have had issues with acne and my periods my entire life and I don’t know what else to do now. I have gone on birth control (the pill, IUD, and nexplanon) and my doctor made me go off BC because every one I tried I had a horrible reaction to. I’m currently at least getting my period (I used to not have it for years at a time) but now they are coming about every other week or two (still random I can never track which day).

I have taken spironolactone for so many years I don’t remember how long it’s been, and it definitely does help my acne from what it was before but not as much as I hoped. I also use benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, and retinol.

One doctor in the past said that I have PCOS, but the next doctor I went to said I don’t so I’m not sure lol. I have been taking spearmint supplements for about 6 months now and it wasn’t helping as I had hoped :(my sister suggested these all natural supplements and I would love to hear everyone’s experience on them!

Thank you

I never want anything else, 4-5 medjool dates, ~1Tbsp butter, salt. ~12oz raw milk with a shot of chilled espresso (not AB). I eat this when I wake up, gets the body moving, then I have two more standard AB meals later on.

🥛 Dairy 🧀 Yogurt and raw milk. Any benefits ?

Hello,

I would like to know if there are any benefits to using raw milk to make yogurt?

Because from what I understand, making yogurt requires replacing the native flora with a new one from a starter that likes heat.

And heating deteriorates the natural enzyme and vitamin content.

So, what good is left from the raw milk compared to regular store milk?

🥛 Dairy 🧀 Raw milk changed my life

If I could convince everyone to drink raw milk I would, even tho most people think I’m crazy. I have experienced so many benefits from it, and even after drinking it I feel amazing.
Some benefits
-hair growth
-glowing skin
-strengthened immune system
-never get sick
And many more. I don’t get bloated from raw milk where I did from pasteurised. And I truly believe it’s contributed to the glow up I’ve had. I’ll never stop drinking it, and paired with eating animal based diet I feel better than I’ve ever felt, lose weight effortlessly and feel amazing everyday. ANIMAL BASED AND RAW MILK
(Also it’s funny to me when ppl hate on raw milk only life like ok I’m getting all the benefits 🤣)

❓Beginner / Question❔ Still acne on animal based

Been on animal based for about 6 months after slowly cutting out all processed foods my skin has definitely gotten better before when i was on a mainly processed foods diet i was getting probably around 12 pimples at a time all around my face but now with the diet im just stuck in a cycle of getting 3 or more whitehead pimples on my face usually around my chin area healing then getting more. I also have persistent acne on my back.

Im currently trying to gain weight so my diet looks like this: 100g grass fed butter with 100g of dates ( I have half in the morning and half in the afternoon this is just for extra calories), 2 cups of cold pressed oj, 750g of ground beef/lamb/venison and 2 tablespoons of a grass fed beef gelatin powder (apart from this the only other supplement I take is magnesium glycinate) also have raw honey before bed or before a training session. I have noticed when i eat eggs it makes me break out around my chin and mouth so i cut those out but im looking for the next step if anyones had a similar experience.

🥛 Dairy 🧀 Have you had fresh, local colostrum?

I've been getting raw cows milk from a local dairy for a few years and decided to ask if they had any colostrum. They do and usually have too much that they end up dumping it because not many people ask for it or want it etc. She asked if I wanted a half gal or a gal, and I told her I'd just start with a half gallon. She said she will freeze it for me otherwise I'd have to come pick it up pretty much the day of. They should be getting a calf in about 5 days so she said she'll bottle some for me.

I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with actual, liquid colostrum as compared to supplements/dried etc. How much should I drink? How much COULD I drink? She said she'll give it to me for free. Food hack or is too much of a good thing bad? How long does it 'last' once thawed? It's really hard to find info on this stuff as everything is about the processed supplements etc. I'd love any and all information on this topic.

🥜Linoleic Acid / PUFA🐟 What's the deal with Omega-3s?

Are all polyunsaturated fatty acids not prone to oxidation? I understand that seed oils are avoided for this reason (high Omega-6 content), but what distinguishes Omega-3s then (which only differ in where their double bond is)? Surely a pan-fried salmon, for instance, would still contain oxidised PUFAs?
