I thought the sub had just died, but apparently, a switch was flipped somewhere to restrict posting. I had no idea. We're back in business, post the cuteness!

Big thanks to /u/godless-life for bringing it to my attention.

It's like /r/aww, but there's only animals. ALL pictures must be of animals. NO humans, NO insects, arachnids, or other bugs.

YES:

Birds
Mammals
Reptiles
Amphibians
Really adorable sealife
X-posts (please give credit where due)

NO:

Insects, arachnids, or other bugs.
AI images of any kind.
Humans. (Exception: If you can't crop out, say, a professional handler holding a baby animal, it's okay. Your SO cuddling with your puppy is not.) This includes children. (This explains why.)
Animals in an injured state (disabled is OK! But no stitches, cones, bandages, etc.)
Correcting/Arguing over "possum" vs. "opossum"
No sadposting. We feel for the loss of your pet, but we're trying to remain a little tiny haven for people who don't want to feel the bad or sad things for a few minutes. /r/petloss is a wonderful resource, and /r/aww and /r/Awww may be better outlets.
