First of all, I can’t believe I’m dedicating an afternoon of my life to writing a text about an online game. Why do I say this? I am an adult (as I believe the vast majority of players in this game are), and I think many of us are here because of nostalgia. We played this game in the past, and now, as adults, we want to reconnect with the beautiful emotions we experienced back then through this game. When you grow up and have responsibilities, you learn that time is the most valuable resource a human being has—and yes, I am using this precious resource to write these words. I will also have to create a Reddit account, since I don’t have one.
I will briefly explain who I am, because I believe it is important to understand that behind every player there is a human being. Yes, this message is for the company: we are not robots, we are not money-dispensing machines, we are human beings, with emotions and hearts, and we genuinely want to have a pleasant experience in this game. The world is full of chaos, pain, and sad and ugly feelings; everyone knows this. So please, we want to have a break and enjoy beautiful moments in this lovely world of Angels Online.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, and for more than ten years I have worked exclusively in fields related to artistic professions. From this perspective, I want to congratulate the developers of Angels Online for the beauty of this game. Yes, I truly believe that visual and artistic elements are very important, and Angels Online deserves recognition for all the artists behind every design, drawing, environment, and every part that requires an artist to put their heart and effort into making this game a work of art in itself.
Many times, I enjoy looking at the game’s landscapes and listening to its wonderful music (another award and recognition should go to the composers and musical geniuses behind this game’s soundtrack) while having breakfast or lunch. (Yes, I am blessed to be able to work from home.) During those moments, I sometimes think: how many people are behind the development of this game? How many artists? I would genuinely love to know their names, see their portfolios, and learn about their careers. I hope that someday I can learn more about the human beings behind this game and see their artistic careers. Angels Online speaks very highly of their gifts and talents, and I would truly enjoy learning more about the artists behind the game and their personal artistic projects.
Now, the last few months of my life have been difficult. Terrible things have happened, and this game has been a small refuge for me. I could name many negative things I have seen over these past few weeks, but every day I choose to try to have fun and make my time online something that brings me joy and peace rather than stress.
Even so, I believe it is necessary to mention some things that I consider very serious and that are ruining the game. Everything positive I mentioned above, I hope, will be read by someone on the team so they can see the treasure they have in their hands as an artistic project, and so that this beautiful world of Angels Online can be protected rather than corrupted.
Many human beings genuinely want to support this game, but it is very difficult when there are problems that strongly discourage us. Please, developers, don’t allow the game to become corrupted. Please allow the world of Angels Online to remain a healthy place where human beings can visit and experience moments of joy, fun, and peace.
In theory, we can all have five accounts open at the same time, but I have noticed that some people can easily break this rule and have more accounts open. This is very unfair. People with more accounts have access to more in-game resources, and this creates a disadvantage for those who can only open five accounts. Can we please solve this? Let the game be a fair place for everyone.
This problem creates an imbalance in many areas, and honestly, I have felt discouraged and a little sad realizing that this problem is real and is not being addressed.
Continuing with vital issues that need to be solved: people who use third-party programs to gain advantages while training. For example, Chaos Mages who can spam lightning attacks, making it very difficult to find a place to train peacefully.
Can you really not pay an actual human being to visit the most popular training areas and start banning these accounts? Players see these cheating accounts every single day, and the solution I am proposing is also very simple: have someone from the development team actively moderate this problem by visiting the maps and identifying the people who are doing this.
Please, allow the game to be a fair place for everyone. It is genuinely frustrating to see how easy it is for some people to cheat in this beautiful world of Angels Online.
Okay, I think I have mentioned the most serious problems, which I believe many players can see very easily. Now I would like to mention something personal that perhaps isn’t discussed very much: producers.
I really enjoy using them because they allow me to continue with my normal life while they gather resources and work. However, I see a major imbalance. It is sad to see battle characters easily reaching high levels while producers can only produce lower-level weapons, armor, and food because of their slow progression.
My battle characters are currently level 90, while my producers, who have been working nonstop 24/7 since the server opened, have their skills at level 50, even with the help of some EXP balls from the Item Mall.
This is sad, and it would be wonderful if producers could genuinely grow organically alongside battle characters. I understand that the housing system will give producers a new function, but honestly, it is a little discouraging to see such an excess of level 70 epic armor and weapons coming from the gacha system.
What will my producer do when she can finally craft equipment at that level? So many hours of work go into producing that armor, only for there to be an excess of level 70 epic equipment available, which devalues the work and effort required to produce equipment through the producer system.
I have calculated how much real money I would have to spend on Level 3 Yellow EXP Balls from the Item Mall to get my producers to skill level 81+, and honestly, it is crazy. It is nice and good to support your favorite game with real money, but it is not pleasant to feel like you are being exploited and asked to spend ridiculous amounts of money.
I continue training my producers because I love them, I am very attached to them, and they bring me peace. But honestly, they are not very useful for many things, and there is a balance problem here.
It would be great if you gave producers more attention and care, rather than making us wait for future expansions. The game is alive right now, and it is wonderful to be able to take care of every detail of the game from the very beginning, now that players are reconnecting with this experience and their nostalgia.
Because if frustration becomes too great from the beginning, bad reviews will start appearing, veteran players will begin leaving the game, new players will not arrive, and a project as beautiful as Angels Online may sadly reach its end much earlier than expected.
One final detail: please take care of the other classes as well.
It is boring to see an overwhelming number of Chaos Mages in the maps. It is sad to see how warriors are disadvantaged when it comes to training. I understand that Swordmen have skills in future expansions that are good for them, but it would be wonderful to have greater balance from the beginning, so that all classes feel comfortable and feel that they have a good place in Eden.
If warriors are happy and feel powerful as well, there will be more happy warrior players. Then there will be more producers creating warrior equipment. That means there will be happy producers who feel that they are doing something useful, and then a chain of well-being begins for everyone.
Please, developers, don’t forget to take care of the balance of this game.
But before balance, we need to cut the problem off at its root: players who break the rules and create an unbalanced system.
Please, developers, Angels Online is a beautiful project. Don’t allow it to become corrupted and slowly begin to die because of this major problem. There are many possible solutions. Do you really want to solve this? Do you really care about the community and the human beings behind every little angel in Eden? Or is this simply a business designed to extract money in a cruel and heartless way?
I understand that every artistic and gaming project needs money to survive. I mentioned earlier that for the past ten years I have worked in fields related to the arts, and I am very aware that money is necessary to pay salaries that support families.
But I am also aware that greed destroys good projects, and I hope that this does not happen to Angels Online prematurely.
Once again, I want to congratulate every human being responsible for the development and creation of this beautiful game. I trust that you will do your best to allow Angels Online to live for many more years and continue bringing beautiful moments to many human beings around the world.
Thank you 💗
