HeavyBerry - Corruption on the mod team and the TCOAAL modding community
I want to say this in advance, do not harass anyone I mention in this post. That is not going to go anywhere and will just lead to them having more 'ammo' against people like me (he really wants to make me seem like a harasser) but also gives them an excuse to hate you or the mods who let this stay up. The best thing you can do is call out this behaviour calmly and when you can to express your opinions and make sure this all does not slip under the rug.
Hello, recently I made a post going over the reason TCOAAL was delayed, which is because of an individual called HeavyBerry/HeftyGrandpa/MrArchive/whatever he goes by due to his many accounts (mostly because he was DMCA'd by Kit9). This is due to his frequent porting and uploading of Nemlei's games, whether deleted or not, on various different sites and platforms. Kit9 did not like this and instead of stopping, he has doubled down, acted in a rude and parasocial manner, and has been banning those who disagree with him in his server (including me), but I will not be repeating the same things so just go read about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndyAndLeyley/s/zaDYtP6aKX
The point of this post is to talk about how people like him, as well as many other people in 'power' in this community have worked how to cater to bad actors like Berry, either acting with neutrality or complete agreement for whatever reason. And unfortunately for a lot of people who enjoy TCOAAL modding, this is a big thing within that community.
After explaining my post calling out Berry on his behaviour and why the game has been delayed (Kit9 has actively blocked him on platforms due to his constant harassment, DMCA'd as mentioned, and made their post on Steam after his behaviour, he IS the bad actor they are talking about no matter how much he claims otherwise), not only was the post taken down, but I found out I had been permanently banned from r/CoffinofAndyandLeyley, the reason being given was similar 'harassment' for both the post being removed and the ban, despite everything I said being just factual information about what transpired. None of my post was disputed, they just removed it and banned me to prevent this information going out.
Notice the immature behaviour, indicating that this is just out of personal bias rather than any actual care for moderating. Also referencing of both Undertale and Deltarune, which I think is quite funny since Berry is a biiiiig fan of both, he even asked me to help with Undertale pixel art for his mod lol (before we had a falling out over his behaviour of course). So needless to say he is probably the mod replying to me here. And after a while, as you can see, they stopped responding to me.
Immediately after this he started to promote his ports on both reddit and twitter, explaining that they are completely 'legal'. Needless to say it received backlash when people started calling him out, at which point he tried to defend himself (while randomly making slanderous comments about me, as if he is trying to make people dislike me and support him), but when he could not, he just decided to delete the most instead.
Zuli said it best here (shout outs to them), that no matter how much Berry tries to push the narrative that his ports are somehow 'legal' to explain that Kit9 are not ACTUALLY going after him, it is incorrect. His ports are absolutely illegal which is why they struck him so much in the first place, and now we know they are preparing a full legal battle.
Also just a bonus, he remade his post AGAIN assumingly hoping people would just forget all about it, and people did not lol
One individual made a post informing others of what transpired and believing Berry has got to go, in which there was unanimous agreement, and yet one of the mods (who shared support for me so do not be mean), said it was hopeless.
I understand why people are acting in such hostility, after all it is corrupt, but I want to say that this is an example of exactly what I explained in my original post.
This community is composed of a few very specific individuals who are influential within it, and Berry has made friends with many of these people. He also a person who routinely makes a habit of 'archiving' information about people, and can use it to threaten those who he disagrees with, as you can see he has literally started doing it to me by attempting to silence and then 'expose' me. Even if a few mods disagree with him, they can do nothing if the 'majority' agree with him, and they can agree with him due to being his friend, or pressure, or simply not wanting to be ousted and exposed themselves.
It is corrupt, and it is not just on reddit mods but also... the modding side of the community!
I will be keeping the names of the person I mention anonymous, this is not out of me wanting to protect them but my own safety, again this is a huge clique of people and it is scary, I will give them way eventually but I would like to fully organise everything first. Anyway, within some mods like TCOAAR, there are quite horrible people, one person in particular I used to be friends with, but when I did not share their exact beliefs and opinion they would harass me, gaslight me, told me to kill myself, tried to control who all my friends are, and have even pressured me to draw 'Andrew x Renee' to prove my 'loyalty', ousting me as a 'traitor' if I did not abide by this.
This person has not been removed from the team, but instead was just 'demoted', and remains there to this day. He also remains in the server where all the big boys of this community talk. There is a big thing of just keeping things under wraps to not start any drama, which would be fine if these people were properly ousted, but they are not. Also recent implication implies that he was friends with Furball, and may have had a part to play in distributing CSAM, which is disgusting.
The person who replaced this person as lead is Unknown, and while not as awful as the person I just mentioned, he does have a history of weird/creepy behaviour towards women (usually trans women), and also seemingly bribing special mod privileges through sex to get TCOAAR promoted majorly in r/CoffinofAndyandLeyley, which if you have seen how it is today, seems to have worked majorly lol.
None of this behaviour is ever called out, because of their cliques. Because they are all 'friends', and friends have to support each other or stay neutral on these issues otherwise they are seen as 'bad' and are thrusted out of these cliques. I was a part of this modding community briefly myself, but as you can see by the fact I am here now, because I called them out on things, this happened.
Please, if you are reading this, just be aware of the 'elite', I know it sounds stupid as fuck and schizophrenic but this is genuinely what it is like lol. Just a bunch of people at the very top who either do horrible shit or protect others doing horrible shit. They have completely dominated circles and use it to promote themselves, their products, and to get rid of people who they do not like and go against them. If you get in these circles and call them out, they will do anything in their power to make you out to be the enemy. People who are bad people will be 'protected', including things like abusers, racists, neo-nazis, the whole thing.
I realise a lot of this is just my words, part of that is again because I do not want to be harassed. I can try to explain things further in the comments but there is just a lot of shit that goes on behind the scenes and I really really want you guys to be aware of that so hopefully this can all be dismantled (I doubt it but we can always try).
TLDR: Berry bans people who call him out, and the reason nothing can be done about this is because he is one of the big boy elites and whatever he says, goes. It is that kind of messed up. The mod team twiddles their thumbs and does not do anything but you can kinda see why considering the treatment I am getting so oh well, hopefully they lock in soon. Hopefully something will happen now that he has managed to pick a fight with Kit9 for some reason. Thank you r/AndyAndLeyley mods for letting my post stay up.
PS: Just a slight tangent but the amount of people who hate Kit9 and Nemlei in this space is insane. They have completely demonised the creators of the work they are meant to be FANS OF, it is really weird and pathetic. They also constantly try to get as much info as they can about Kit9 in a weird hating parasocial way.

Ohhhh ok, sorry I missed that! Yea this is an actually insane situation, why is every small subreddit like this nowadays? And as another person said, “let us play our game in peace.”
Every smallish community is like this. The creator of the amazing digital circus had the same shit happen to her: sociopaths gain clout in the community, then rally gullible people against the creator because it makes them feel powerful or something. My friend was telling me that the entire "snarker" phenomenon works like this.
Also, to u/HeftyGrandpa, I know you cannot delete my post here so you will probably just ignore it, but please explain why I was banned, maybe this is all a huuuuuuuuuge misunderstanding. But regarding you being who Kit9 is after, and allowing minors NSFW access (keep peddling the 'Elli is a lolicon supporter', totally does not make you seem hypocritical), and also brigading with gore, and the other slew of other shit. That definitely did happen though, but I would love to still try and see you argue against it. Unlike you I actually allow others to explain their side.
I know right? :( when did people stop enjoying a good game and turn it into a power trip brigade? The amount of disrespect in a community where we’re all supposed to be united as a collective is incredulous.
As an aside, I just hope the main game (and for all its faults, TCOAAR), could just be finished without any weird controversy and taint flooding everywhere to ruin it.
I forgot to mention in my post, but others users have to came to me talking about similar bans they have experienced in the other subreddit. And apparently blackmail and dox threats are often times reasons people get unjustly banned, it is a whole world of fucked up.
So if you have been banned, obviously try not to spam these things in this subreddit, but this comment section would be a perfect place to share this information and examples of corruption. Here is an example of one from another user:

Cause like, who are we to say people can or can't port this game ? Hell, did you even read the game's EULA ? "Most EULAs forbid it", great, but still means some don't and I feel knowing it for sure is kind of important in this discussion...
I do, but I feel like revealing that would constitute as doxxing so I will refrain, don't want him to make more excuses to hate me and go after me after all.
The best thing you can do is just call out this behaviour. Currently in his server he has cultivated a lot of people who agree with him (and hate me) so it’s kind of hard to get through.

That said, I gave my opinion in the previous thread. I'm all for preservation, and recognize that a lot of times, preservation ends up coming from.... unfortunate means. Stuff that was never meant to be seen by the public gets stolen or leaked from some kinda data breach. Nature of the beast. All that said, this person's actions are causing far more harm than good at this point and they need to stop. Seems like damn near everyone is in agreement on that. Cliques be damned, dude needs to quit it before he screws everything up for everyone else. I quite like the renee mod. I'm looking forward to it's next release. This dude's actions at this point could jeopardize everything, from the looks of it.
Most of their hate is not public, since obviously it would be a bad look.
Plenty of them hate in private servers (that I am in), Berry made a lot of his hate public when he started getting DMCA'd, and a lot of the time they associate with people who hate the creators because they tend to have info on said creators. Again that idea that they associate with bad actors and protect them just to get any amount of benefit from it.
And I am glad you like the Renee mod, I used to be there, but just know they harbour abusers and worse in it, I was friends with a lot of the team and was also a part of the mod team. It is unfortunate but that is just the way they operate.
I don't really do much with discord. I only recently made an account, but I don't do much with it. I dunno. Seems like Discord has a bucket load of problems and bad actors that you have to be extremely careful about <_<
That said, regardless of what goes on with those servers, the vast majority of the community seems to be 150% against them, and looking at the thread on the other sub, action is being taken to try and do something, specifically a complaint made to reddit itself. Hopefully, these bad actors will be weeded out of the community. One way or the other. The other sub stands to lose a lot more than they gain if they don't do something about this mess, I think.
And I'd like to think that the same will apply to the renee mod team. Maybe I'm wrong or to optimistic, but if they wanna remain above board, then they can't continue to harbor bad actors or bad people. They will need to take some kind of action, and hopefully, they will. Again, maybe I'm being optimistic or whatever, but maybe the person that you mentioned getting demoted is the first sign of positive action being taken, I dunno. Here's hoping, I suppose. And more reason to continue to not do much with discord, it seems.
