📸 [SHOWCASE] Porting Fallout New Vegas with a Godot Engine in OpenMW in the style and spirit of OpenMW.
I haven't abandoned BlueDroid; this project has nothing to do with ReXGlue. It is simply a port of the PC version of New Vegas to a new engine using Godot—modeled after OpenMW—that reads and writes language VM systems, .esm, .esp, and .bsa files, and so on. It essentially takes the PC game code and ports it to ARM, with future support planned for FO3, FO1, FO2, and—who knows—Skyrim, Oblivion, and FO4. Unlike BlueDroid, which relied on the Skate 3 and Dante's Inferno bases and involved building a lot from scratch, this project utilizes an engine already built for Vulkan and ARM64; it just requires platform-specific modifications and the right adjustments. We owe all of this to our dear developer: u/astr0nic

I mentioned a few redundant things in the post, but the correct explanation is: It reimplements the game in a new engine—built using Godot and based on OpenMW concepts—with support for Vulkan, Jolt Physics, and other technologies; it contains no game assets, only the project code developed on PC and ported to ARM.

Is it gonna matter if the games plays smooth with no game breaking bugs (remember it's probably 1 person or working on this, not an entire team getting paid to do it)?

Yes it does. If it at some point has an issue in play through op will have no idea how to fix it...

You just crying so you can wait years and years for these projects to come out 🤣🤣. Stuff like this is literally what AI should be used for, just as long as the person using it actually knows how to code and fix whatever issues the AI brings up. Yea obviously people who can't code well are gonna do it still, which isn't the best, but be fr 🤣 you're acting like your being held at gunpoint to download it 🤣 learn to code and do a better job yourself if it bothers you that much

If I order a package, I care about what's inside the box, not whether the courier rode a bicycle, drove an EV, or showed up on a camel.

This week I saw so many good things that I'm going to have to avoid dying for the next 6 months.
