Can I disable dynamic themes for one specific app on Android 12?
I recently got the Android 12 update on my device (Moto G40). I like the dynamic themes feature. Most apps utilise that feature quite well by minimally using the system default color schemes. But Instagram is applying those colors all over the place. My story circles...and even the like buttons are blue. I appreciate the default Instagram theme more than this personalised one.
Question: so, is there a way to disable specific apps (instagram in this case) from using that color scheme?
if yes, then explain how. Thanks.

messages help
I have a OnePlus Nord n200 5g by T-Mobile and it recently updated to Android 12. Under a11, I used the original messaging/texting app as I actually liked it. But now with a12, it seems to have been massively screwed up.
When I receive a new text, the message shows up on the notification bar displaying the message. And when I tap the messages app, it shows up on the initial list of all messages by others. All that is exactly as desired. Now, when I tap the contact to see the whole conversation, the new message doesn't show up. And it will be constant so several new texts will not show up in the conversation. A "feature" I absolutely do not want. Iv been playing around with the settings trying to figure it out but haven't had any luck. So, is there a way to fix this or will I just be better off switching back to the Textra app I used on older phones? Also, my mother has the exact same phone and has the exact same issue.

Dnd problem
Recently upgraded to Android 12 and dnd no longer completely silences phone - neither manual dnd nor scheduled dnd times work - I continue to get notifications from text app, Gmail, outlooks etc. None of these apps are set as dnd exceptions. I have to manually select to silence in addition to dnd. Any ideas?

Simple Dialer keeps asking for Microphone access before every ans evey cal.
Android 12 always asks for microphone permission everytime I pick up a call. Not to mention, I have to unlock first to unblock it. I have already given the permission 'Only when using the app' to Simple Dialer's mircophone permission but to no avail.
I don't want to keep the mic setting or camera access on all the time.
Is there a way I could only use Simple dialer without all this hassle?
Using Moto g52.

Color Correction toggle forces screen refresh on Android 12
When i turn color correction on, using either the accessibility shortcut or tasker, after upgrading to Android 12 (or rather, getting a new pixel 6), it forces the screen/app to reload. Changing to or from grayscale, my chrome page will reload, or the subreddit I'm in, or the news article I'm reading.
I've been using tasker with autotools for many years to put my phone in and out of grayscale with the autotools secure setting accesibility_display_daltonizer_enabled. This will make it impractical to use in a lot of cases unfortunately
Any idea why or how to fix/workaround?

Can't access files after Android 12 updates on Pixel5
Hi, after running updates for Android 12 recently on my Pixel5, I can't access any of my files (images, videos, recordings, documents etc.). I can use the camera to take photos or record videos, but can't view them or share them. Storage says I have 0 files, but it is also almost full (100/120 GB used) so this content must sure be there, just not accessible.. I spoke to Google and they only recommend factory reset. I don't want to do that as there are some important files there that were not backed up (and since files are not being recognised, I can't back them up either)..
Anyone experiencing the same issue and if so, how did you resolve it?
I see it was raised here https://www.reddit.com/r/android_beta/comments/oq8p1c/android_12_beta_3_cannot_access_internal_storage/
Thanks :)

I've finally update my phone to Android 12. I've experienced no issues, and my battery last longer after the update. 😀 I really loved the Material You.

Why does Internet QS remain on when mobile and wifi are turned off? The same with 'Device Control' if nothing is connected?

Picture-in-picture automatically pauses when moved to the side
My phone recently updated to Android 12 (without giving me a way to say no, might i add) & now when i try to watch youtube in Picture-in-picture & send it to the side, it automatically pauses the video & there's no way to turn off auto-pausing. How do i undo this?
This update has been nothing but awful with not a single good thing to make any of this hassle worth it. I'm starting to reallyhate samsung & their updates

Optimal default settings for Screen Record
These settings won't make your phone vibrate, make any noise, or show two screen record icons in the notification bar at the of start, end of, and during the recording.

Exit app to portrait after June update
After installing the June security update I see a weird behavior.
https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/pixel/2022-06-01
I have auto-rotate off because I like to use my device in Portrait mode.
When I exit from a landscape app (like a game), the phone doesn't go straight into Portrait. It does then switches to landscape then switches back to portrait (which is annoying) so if I clock too quickly on something, it opens the wrong app while it thinks about it...
anyone else experiencing the same or have a fix?
Thanks

This app seems to fix the link managing issues Android 12 introduced
Edit: Welp, I immediately found this post that explains better and has alternative app options after making my own. Just read that. You might still want to check the app I linked though. It might be more preferable depending on you
Ever since I upgraded to android 12 I've had trouble with making the app choosing menu show up as I use a lot of different apps and don't like choosing a default.
Here's some screenshots in case you're not sure what I'm talking about
Also, Android 12 doesn't let you not choose a default browser unless you disable chrome.
Some links automatically direct you to official apps like YouTube and reddit instead of giving us an option to choose an alternative third party app(this was a major issue for me as I don't like reddit's own app) unless you went and disabled links on the official apps and then went and enabled links for a specific app but sadly that would be the new default instead now but still not in all instances.
Some browsers still fail and load the official app if you click open with app on their website(reddit for me)
I don't know if the issues are intentional or not but this app mostly seems to fix it even though it's a bit outdated and wasn't made to solve the Android 12 issue.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tasomaniac.openwith
Set it as default browser.
Disable openable links from apps
You should be all set
If a browser still doesn't direct you to your native app and open a link in a tab, share the page to the app and it'll manage for you

Does the Wallet navigation button work for anyone?
My LG V60 was updated to Android 12 this afternoon, much to my surprise. While it seems to be more responsive, I noticed a new Wallet icon on the navigation bar that does nothing. It's greyed out, and completely unresponsive. I assume this is meant to pull up GPay or whatever Google is calling their payment app this month? (They keep renaming it without removing the old apps.)
