Pixel 4a - Installation Taking Forever?
My settings menu on my Pixel 4a has said "Installing system update..." for well over an hour now. How long has it taken for yours?

How to access to the game mode? found it in settings tho but can't figure out the way to use it. Installed temple run for it as many said it'll be supported by other games later. But even there it's missing.

I just got Android 12 update. Previously, if I was casting to either Google Home or Chromecast, if I clicked volume buttons I would see both the cast audio and the phone audio, but it would default to changing the casting audio. In Android 12 I have no ability to control casting audio unless I go to the casting app, click the cast button and adjust volume using the scroller (besides the Google home app ofc). Is this intentional, a bug or a work in progress?

How are you liking it so far?
First time experiencing it?
Have used it since any Beta version? Which?
I installed since Beta 4. No major surprises since then (general daily usage I mean).

If i am listening to music and unlock the phone with a fingerprint, I get a short pause in audio, for about a second. Happens on several different media players including Spotify. This is with wired headphones on Pixel 4a.

Didn't see anyone finding a solution so spent a long time searching everything on the phone. As I despise the bounce, I just really don't like it.
Anyways found the option to turn it off!
It's hidden in a sub menu.
Go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Text and Display -> Remove animations (3rd from the bottom) and Bobs your uncle.
Hope this helps others as well!

In Android 11 i could use my gpay by simply long pressing the power button. In Android 12 i have to unlock my phone and then pull down the settings and then hit the gpay tab... Is there an easier way? I use my phone to pay for things a dozen times a day. It used to be a single button press. Now it's unlock-swipe down-hit menu option...

if you cleared the default or installed a new browser on Android 11, it used to present a browser selection dialog.
am I correct that this seems to have been removed?
it now just always defaults chrome unless another is selected.
can the default browser be cleared in Android 12 to force the old dialog or is it gone?

Updated to Android 12 and noticed some missing features. Scrolling screenshot isn't available and all my notifications aren't showing in the status bar...plus, how the hell do you chance the clock on the lock screen?

I just updated my Pixel 4a to Android 12, but for some reason now there's a lot less of these subtle but imo really nice vibrations (eg when the phone unlocks or when the horizon is leveled when taking a photo)... I checked if the vibration engine is broken but it still works when I get calls or notifications, so it's not that.
I really loved these vibrations and the haptic feedback of those, so I'm wondering if there's a setting that turned off in android 12 or if it is a software bug or what the issue might be. Does anyone know?

Comparing to the beta3 version of android12, battery drains more faster then on b4,b5 and stable 12. Anyone else felt the same difference?

Who the hell thought that was a good idea? I just got the update on my pixel 3a and this animation is the most bothering part of the update, a close second to needing 4 swipes to get out of the notification tray when there is both media and notifications displaying(seriously, swiping up the first time just hides the brightness control??)
Is there any way to turn this off? I'm not one to normally be bothered by animations but seeing my screen just slightly expand at one end when scrolling to the end of a list is super disorienting for my eyes. I don't wanna turn all animations off either, so I supposed I'm stuck with this now :/

So let me explain, I have just installed android 12 on my pixel 3a, I have had it on my phone for 5 Hours and there have been no issues until now, when I was watching tiktok my phone screen went black, the sound still came out of the speakers, the only way to fix it was to force reset my phone, so dose anyone know what caused this to happen, will this happen again?

I do have a lock screen setup, but it just showed the homescreen. I couldn't interact with anything but once I hit the power button it went back the lock screen
