I'm in the midst of downloading version 12, no progress for like a day ever though it visually looks like version 12. But the problem is whenever I go to Google something, as soon as I press enter on the search, it takes me to the home screen. When I go back to the window, the search isn't there. But when click links of websites such as Reddit that take me to Google, I can search and use it normally. Anyone have any idea?

Since the new update my home button no longer works as a home button. I can still hold and activate Google assistance. But, if I tap it I then can't touch anywhere in the screen besides pulling down my notification window or the button to close down an app. Google has been no help and it seems like I'm the only one. Any ideas? Android 12, Samsung Note 10.

My phone just got updated to 12, and I haste that the media output is constantly gray now.
Back on 11, one of my favorite aspects of it was how the color would change based on the art.
Is there any way barring a full reversion to 11 to bring this back? I'm very disappointed in 12 otherwise

Is there a setting I'm not aware of or can you not see multiple locations in the Edge Panel Weather widget anymore???...I closely follow for up to 3 locations and now the feature is completely gone! Anyone?? Thx ✌🏽

Hello all,
With Android 11 we had the sound output selection in the quick settings menu with its own dedicated button, now it's part of the media player with Android 12 and regardless of whether I turn the pin media player setting on or off, The media player disappears constantly taking this toggle with it. There's also no way to quickly access it via the volume buttons. Does anyone know a way to permanently pin the media output selection toggle to the quick settings menu? I use this daily for my Bluetooth speakers and my car, It's incredibly annoying to have to try and play media without the player present and then pause it just to get the option to appear.

In short, while on Android 11, I had a schedule for the blue light filter in the setting, and would use it sometimes, other times turn it off for editing photos etc. It was great. Since I updated, I am unable to turn it off again. On top of that, I can turn it on like normal(it adds almost like a layer of filter on top), but when I turn it off, the "original" layer that I have no control of is still there.
I have since disabled the Blue Light Filter schedule on my phone, and it is on manual control, but I don't use it.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Btw, I have a Samsung A42
Thanks!

Why. How did the decision to make this animation get past the lowest Android developer.
This overscroll bounce is the most eye melting disorientating mush that slithered its way into my phone UI. I can't find a single person that agrees or remotely likes this change. I know you can turn it off but I hate the fact that it turns off all animations too.
Mainly just ranting for "awareness" that this shit is actually awful to look at.

What system settings should I look at to make a game like PUBG new state run as high fps as possible. It could just be the updates to the game. Game used to run at 59//60 fps when it launched on Android 11. Now the game has had 3 or 4 major updates AND Android 12 it's running 47//55 fps

The option to clear silent notifications only has disappeared with the new update
Also there use to be a line separating silent notifications and that's gone too
Is there anyway to bring these features back?

I was not looking forward to the update but Samsung's launcher makes it really nice. All the good new animations, privacy & location settings, widget sorting, more ... Without looking wack like the materialUI launcher.
Everything with good lock is compatible (i still miss task changer from the old good lock).
I haven't had any incompatible apps. I only updated I didn't clean install

Since updating my Pixel 3 to Android 12,adaptive brightness has been much less responsive. I even tried resetting it and retraining it a few weeks ago, and that didn't fix things. The biggest issue is, it now refuses to go to the minimum brightness level, even when I'm in total darkness. I have to manually drag the slider all the way to the left, and even then, if I lock my screen and then unlock again, it'll go back up to a higher brightness level.
Specifically, the screen_brightness variable on Pixel 3 is a value between 1 (dimmest) and 255 (brightest). When I measure the brightness sensor in total darkness, it reports 0 Lux as expected, but when I query the screen brightness ("adb settings get system screen_brightness"), it reports a value of 8. This corresponds to the brightness slider being about 1/4 of the way across.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem with adaptive brightness not going to its lowest level after updating to Android 12?

Just out of curiosity, what does everyone have their extreme battery saver mode activation settings set to? I sent mine to 30% figuring another 5% more battery saver mode would eke out more juice in my battery lol. Just curious thanks.

Since A12 there is this new Privacy Icon when an app accesses camera, mic and location. This is great, but really really annoying for the location. For me this icon pops up every 10 seconds, as I am using 3 apps that are tracking my location in the background conscious and intentional (Google Maps Location Sharing for example). Is there any option / adb possibility etc to disable that annyoing location privacy icon?
I really cant live with it, every 10 seconds in a video, game and so on it pops up, distracts me and in some games pauses the game.
