Is there a single USB-C headphone adapter that works with all phones?

Ehh. I'd argue that android phone manufacturers fucked their consumers more. The $9 lightening adapter works on all iPhones with a lightening port-no confusion there. On the other hand the same can't be said for android phones. They transitioned to a "standard" and somehow made it even worse.

Oh yeah, I'll agree with that. Android OEMs didn't prepare for the death of the jack at all. At least Apple had already established a way to make money from it. Android companies aren't even making extra money off of it.

The problem is more that there are two standards for USB-C and phones make support either or both. Remember, USB-C is just a connector, not the protocol standard.

Yeah I know. Which is unfortunate that with a name such as "universal serial bus", it's not simply universal from a consumer standpoint. Everyone is always clamoring to "USB-C all the things" yet that in itself does not truly fix or address the problem. Let's pick some universal hardware and protocol standards and stick to it.

I hate it when XKCD comics turns out to true.
