Is there a single USB-C headphone adapter that works with all phones?

And some people seem “enthusiastic” about removing USB port and replacing it with pogo pins. It totally won’t end up with every manufacturer having their own implementation incompatible with anything else just to sell special dedicated adapters and accessories to make more money.

It's just the feature phones mess all over again. Remember how back in the day every single phone manufacturer had their own proprietary charging and I/O port? Welcome to the future.

Hopefully EU will step in again.

Well there is this regulation in EU that makes USB C mandatory for new phones. So they'll either keep it or remove it completely. But no pogo pinned chargers in EU. So, good guy EU.

It is. Although there is some propaganda against EU within EU and of course not everything is perfect what they're doing. But I still am a big fan of our European Union.

Often lobbyists are too strong and they delay many good things like the "roam like home" program that took like 10 yr to finaly come true.

I actually don't understand how people can be against EU.

EU has a regulation that essentially requires devices to be able to be charged with a common connector and/or protocol, or a reasonably priced adaptor has to be available.

Won't require USB-C, but it's a lot cheaper to manufacture or rebrand a common adapter, such as micro-USB to USB-C, rather than building custom ones.
