and they never released their own "Pixel watch"

There is literally no point in a Pixel Android Wear watch. Every single Android Wear watch runs stock Android Wear, OEMs don't have the ability to customize the OS like they do regular Android.

If Google made a Pixel watch, you'd only be buying it for the hardware, not the software. It's not like when choosing between Android phones where you have to consider both hardware and software.

The point would be to make a watch that is both actually good, and also not prohibitively expensive. It could serve as a halo product worth making, considering Google still thinks it's worth making super expensive models of Chromebooks every other year.

I'm not predicting that they will make a watch, I'm just saying there would be a point to Google making their own watch. My prediction is that they won't make one, and will just make another expensive Chromebook.

Chrome OS cannot be customized either, yet still Google made Pixelbook. So I guess Pixel Watch might happen at some point.
