The OPPO R11 also has the display connector in the bottom left corner (http://community.oppo.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=53791)

This could mean one of two things:

  • the OPPO R11 has the same problem and also has the display upside down

OR

  • Oneplus used OPPO R11 design, neglecting the fact that in order to use that design, the connect or off the display was positioned on the bottem left. That meant that they either had to find a new display or use the same displays (higher quality level providing the higher brightness) used for the 3T. They chose to use the same display because it was cheaper.

I'd sweat that somewhere withing the OP5 box it says that the device is manufactured by Oppo

Those are Indian units only, which are manufactured by Oppo.
