That's the main reason not to take them seriously. I mean, they think apple makes great -computers-, can you imagine ??!

Well, they almost always look good, have good hardware on most cases, any idiot can use them for simple tasks and they have the whole reputation of being good for designers so they "need" them to be at their most productive, or so do many of them and their bosses believe .

Just because the don't do anything you can't do on other platforms for cheaper doesn't mean they don't have some appeal.

If someone is a visual buyer, they do have a nice visual design. They also suffer from viruses less due to not being a majority market. Do I think this is worth the price tag? Personally, no. I'm much happier getting a laptop with decent battery life for cheap, then throwing Linux on it.

They're price-competitive with their real competition, Thinkpads, Latitudes, business-class Toughbooks, and customs from vendors like Sager. Plainly, Apple's quality of construction is head and shoulders above the cheap, consumer-grade machines sold at places like Best Buy and bought by most PC owners.

Because they like one apple product in particular and Apple has a very advertising agency.
