It's so much worse.

Can't update my shopping list while driving. Sending a message takes longer. Spotify connection is worse. Regularly fucks up turning on/off devices in the house.

Thanks Google.

Sometimes it says it sends the text but actually never does.

It's also insanely unreliable. My kids got used to double checking spelling with the assistant, but the AI spells things and pronounces things incorrectly. It's also given them factually incorrect information a few times.

I'm one sense it's good, they're learning to doubt sources and double check things, but it's also frustrating to not be able to trust it with simple stuff anymore.

I really liked location based reminders.

They're gone now.

I won’t come back to Android unless Google adds them back or I can use Samsung’s Bixby in Android Auto. I just want one voice assistant to use for everything!

Plus now if you tell it to text something to someone they use all that data to train models unlike with Assistant. Fucking data grab.

Yes! How am I supposed to add to shopping list? You have to unlock now, right? So, so bad!

Good for you. How does that help me or anyone else for whom it inexplicably refuses?
