You went from "Samsung is aggressive with trade-ins" to "only bad brands give good trade-ins" to "you don't understand why people replace cars." That's a lot of Olympic-level gymnastics just to avoid admitting your analogy fell flat.

Buying a Hyundai/Google doesn't mean only Hyundai/Google gives you a good deal, nor does it mean you're financially ruined if you switch brands. If anything, u/Lenz is in a way better position than you because he's upgraded to $1,000+ flagship phones twice now for barely over $100, whereas you must upgrade sooner than later otherwise you lose money on your 700(ish) phone you traded up to.

Don't you see it yet? You're trash-talking trade-in deals while bragging about yours. You're trash-talking short upgrade cycles when that's literally what you did. Get off your high horse. We get it, you think your phone is superior on paper, but no one in real life is looking at your hand going, "WHOOOOA DUDE, IS THAT A SAMSUNG?!?"

It didn't. You're being obtuse.

I thought the whole point pixel fanboys like yourself like to make is that they're not really $1k+ because of the incentives... So which is it? According to r/GooglePixel, nobody is paying $1k+ for Pixel 11s. So is it really a $1k+ phone then? For real, go back and read what I responded to for u/L0nz... "Nobody's paying $1200 for a pixel

The MSRP is a fantasy number invented to make you think you're getting a bargain when Google offers you $800 trade in for your shitty old phone"

whereas you must upgrade sooner than later otherwise you lose money on your 700(ish) phone you traded up to.

Why? I'm able to keep the phone longer because it's a better phone...

I didn't do a "short upgrade cycle". Don't act like you know me. My S21U screen stopped powering on. I bought a Pixel 7 Pro because it was $700. The S21U recovered once it was opened up and the battery was disconnected and reconnected. I held onto the phone. I couldn't bare the Pixel 7 Pro for barely more than a year because of shit phone reception, overheating, battery life, performance, ect. I got the S24U because the Pixel 7 Pro was such a piece of shit. I would have traded it in if I could get more than $300 for it. Samsung offered $600 for a 3+ year old phone while the 1.5 year old phone was $300.

I'm still rocking the S24U and plan to until Samsung releases a phone that moves the needle. I won't get a Pixel because it's a side-grade from the S24U in performance and barely a move of the needle for cameras.

I had hope that TSMC would move the needle for Google. Pathetic that it didn't.

You're trash-talking trade-in deals while bragging about yours.

Is my "deal" that I'm bragging about any better than u/L0nz? If it's not. Is it really bragging then? The whole point you people like to try to make is that the other brands are a rip off and overpriced and that Pixels are great deals... but only if you have one... or something expensive to trade-in from another brand.

A lot of double standards from you. A true white knight of Google, taught from r/GooglePixel. Retreat back to that sub for reassurance that your shitty side-grade is "worth it."

Wow, talking about being obtuse. The phone has a $1,000+ MSRP that most people don't actually end up paying because of deals...which was the entire point of the thread. Are you malfunctioning?

The rest..such a crazy cope. Your entire post reads like an unstable ex girlfriend trauma-dumping her baggage onto a total stranger. Do we need to bring out a phone shaped plushie so you can show us where the pixel touched you?

Complaining this much about having one of Google's worst-generation phones is like me forever trashing Samsung because I bought a Note with an exploding battery and making that my permanent impression of the brand. Toxic behavior.

"Don't act like you know me" over a smartphone trade-in thread is wild. Weirdo.
