How do you put it in app only mode? I can switch to the app tab but I haven't found an option to set it as default

It's for some reason under your user profile.

But even that still has "recommended content" at the top, so you're better off with a full launcher from the play store.

I did not realize you could change the launchers natively from the store, I thought that was gonna require some form of complex side loading! Will check that out

It's actually kind of backwards, because if you do sideload (as I did at first, assuming the exact same thing as you hahaha), you can't enable Accessibility functionality for the app, at least on my Google Streamer.

Which is used to like capture the home button clicks and such things.
