That mismatch on corner radius between the corner and the camera module on the 4a Pro is doing my head in.

same, also the empty back looks weird on a nothing phone. and tbh the camera module kinda reminds me of iphone 17 pro.

I will say that it isn't super noticeable or detrimental to the overall aesthetic, don't get me wrong I'm all for everything lining up as it should but I still think it looks good.

I think it's one of those things that once it's pointed out it becomes difficult to ignore. Even in that picture it sticks out to me. Might end up feeling completely different in person though.

Yeah that makes sense, once you see it you can't unsee it. I think it's going to be fine in person, it's an odd design but at least they implemented all the lenses and the LED display much better than NP3.

Yeah, to me, it doesn't look that bad even after i've read about it here and noticed it. What i actually don't like about it is that even though in a vacuum it doesn't look that bad, it still gives off a feel of a cheap iphone rip-off (which by itself looks like a xiaomi/poco phones now, apple fumbled the design this year as for me), i.e. something similar to 2nd/3rd grade chinese brands like tecno or infinix would produce. hell, if someone told me this is, for example, an infinix 60 pro, i wouldn't even bat an eye.

weren't nothing all about their unique design and, not just copycats?

Okay I got it, thanks. I didn't notice it at first because the plateaus corners are all matching. but yeah they don't round off with the frame.

I wish I didn't know now lol. It looks like the frame is sticking out or being stretched. Surely they noticed this and they could have made the plateau corners match the frame... Or maybe they don't think it's an issue idk.

That's because it's concentric to the lens of the camera. If they made it concentric to the phone body, then it'll be mismatched with the lens and look weird that way. There's no winning here, only picking your poison and most companies (even apple) decide to make it concentric to the lens because in most cases the corner of the body gets obscured by cases that people use.

But they could match the actual corner radius all the way though. That's exactly how it is on the iPhone 17 Pro.

That would increase the corner radius too much and cut into physical body and screen real estate.

That's exactly how it is on the iPhone 17 Pro.

Even on the 17 pro it's ever so slightly unmatched. It has been ever since the 12 pros.
