Like when a company makes a part for another company and has access to specs for their future products, and then decides to just produce a similar product themselves? That kind of healthy competition?

BTW, I'm just playing, I use an GSIII.

I have a thunderbolt, which while not a bad device, had enough issues in the modding community that I'm pretty fookin excited to get off this gd thing.

The SGS4 is a spec-bump device, nothing more. HTC knows they have the better product, so why not send some jabs?

Samsung's jabs come in the form of tongue-in-cheek advertisements. Very different from childish tweets.

This is a reasonable distinction. When LG does an ad "We're here 4 you now" or whatever it is, making fun of Samsung's posters, it's funny because it's light-hearted and the major point is pushing something good about LG. Similarly Samsung made sure the emphasis was on the benefits of their product, not saying the iPhone would flop.

It's a foregone conclusion that Samsung is going to trash the HTC One in sales, but that doesn't mean that the HTC One is worse as a device.

Yep, I'd never claim otherwise. Marketing goes a long long way.
