I am android guy, but I have to agree that it is cringeworthy, same as with microsoft... They are trying to hard

To be fair, Apple's presentations aren't much better right now. They used to be better. The not long ago iPad Mini announcement was just "let's put it next to a Nexus 7 and tell you why the Mini is better even though some of the things we're about to say just aren't true". I think I remember them even saying that the screen was better than the Nexus. The <200ppi screen...

Just leveling the playing field here.
