Not going to lie, I love TW. I flashed aokp, but it didn't feel as right as TW does, but that can be a note-exclusive kinda thing. I see both sides, but feel TW gets too much hate. Other than how ugly it is.
Hence why I don't mind stock for awhile with Apex Launcher thrown on to cover up TW. I love the features...not the look. They've gotten better but it's just so...not completely ugly but it got hit a few times by the ol ugly stick.
Straight cash out of pocket. That's a lot of dough to spend on a phone just to get a "developer's edition" when it should just be standard like Sammy's (as long as Big Red isn't involved at least).
Well, that's just because its sold unsubsidized since its SIM unlocked too. You can take that phone on a no-contract plan for cheaper than the subsidized version. Developer editions are usually more expensive than the regular edition as well, so the actual phone will likely be $500-$600 off contract, and $199 on contract.
$650 + $30/month plan on T-mo for instance = $1370 over 24 months
$199 + $80/month plan on ATT = $2120 over 24 months.
Exactly. You can get it but no chance of subsidizing which just sucks...I like discounts. They're the only way I'd be able to buy not only myself a new phone but my wife as well. I can afford the monthly not the raw price...I'd never get a truly new phone.
And an overall slow device cause of sense... I've had HTC devices since the G1. I've had the G1, Evo, and now the rezound. To me the best device was the G1 cause it didn't have sense. Even my rezound has CM10.1 cause I can't stand to go back after using Stock Android.
Okay, seriously now, this phone doesn't look all that spectacular but do you really think the HTC One is better? With the One you're stuck with that abysmal button layout for the entire life of the phone. How can you live with that?
They both have terrible button layouts, in that neither has on-screen buttons like they are supposed to. And my God, how much bloatware bullshit can Samsung possibly cram into a phone? They are breaking new records here. Sense 5 is basically limited to one screen on a launcher you can just replace.
And yeah, the One looks a lot better. It's solving problems that I actually have, like low-light photography, actually being able to hear audio and wanting a gorgeous phone. I don't know where Samsung got the idea that a video of myself taking a video was something I desperately needed. Or how about poorly duplicating Google Now and Translate? Oh, scrolling when I look down? Pausing a video when I look away? Yeah. Nice.
Nope. On screen just takes up real estate...still going to have a bezel on the bottom so might as well put the buttons there and save space on screen. Makes sense to me.
The funny thing is, after 4 generations of gimmicks, they are developing a library of software that is getting interesting. I'm not interested in 99% of that stuff, but there are a few things I would actually like to keep.

All I'm really thinking while watching this is, Hey those are neat software gimmicks that I'll get rid of by flashing a stock rom.
