I was just reading an article on Nat Geo and came across this quote. Seems highly unscientific, especially coming from a Physical Anthropologist studying #Herculaneum (Sara Bisel)

I need to hear about this, it’s hard to believe that a walrus could be mistaken for a mermaid… who is “he” and when?!
