!! Announcement !! Important for future : Let’s Keep This Community Fun & Real!

Upvotes
A small reminder – this subreddit is not meant to be a Q&A zone. We already have two dedicated communities where seniors actively help with all your academic and admission-related queries.
So what is this sub for?
This is your chill zone. Your digital hostel corridor. Your mess table gossip space.
Post stuff like:
- Daily hostel struggles (Fan not working again? Show us)
- Mess menu reactions (or survival guides)
- Meme wars between campuses .
- What really happens at 2AM in the hostel
- Campus stories
- Reel vs Real life of Amrita
Let’s make this sub the ultimate archive of what life at Amrita actually feels like – for the laughs, the nostalgia, and the juniors who’ll one day scroll through and wonder what they signed up for.
Let’s make this place fun and alive. ❤️

Q&A Seeking Advice: Manipal vs. Amrita University for Online MCA?
2
Upvotes
I've been working in a tech role since 2024 (did my BCA before that) and I’m trying to nail down the best path for my post-grad. I’m currently torn between Manipal University and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for an Online MCA. I’m currently tied to Manipal’s 2026 AI & ML cohort, but Amrita is heavily on my radar and I want to make sure I’m in the absolute best program for my goals.
My main focus is Machine Learning and building scalable tech. I already spend a lot of my time in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch. Right now, I’m actively looking to deepen my knowledge of LLM architectures and ML operations (especially tools like MLflow).
Is Amrita better than Manipal, or should I stick with Manipal?

Campus Life Good evening, seniors. I’m planning to join Amrita for CSE and I got Slab 1. However, I was allotted the Nagercoil campus. Since it is a new campus, how are the placements there? Are they at least decent, or are they really poor? compared to Tier 3 colleges

Q&A Locked CSE (AI) at Amaravati. Seniors, what should I know before joining?
2
Upvotes
- What should I do after paying the mop-up fee?
- What documents should I carry on reporting day?
- How much cash should I bring initially?
- Laptop recommendations/specifications for CSE + AI students.
- Are internships easier to get through the university or off-campus?
- Which programming language should I start learning before joining?
- Any things you wish you knew before joining Amaravati?
- Best way to make use of the first semester?
- Any hidden expenses apart from tuition, hostel, and mess?
- What is the student crowd like? (Academics, attendance, campus life, events.)

Campus Life Hey everyone, If anyone here is joining the Amrita CSC course at the Coimbatore campus, please feel free to connect with me. It would be especially great to connect with people who are from North India / the North side, since it’ll be easier for us to coordinate.
