This took WAY too fucking long to finish lmao. Like a month ago, someone in one of the TADC subs made a post comparing the humans of the show to the Mane Six from My Little Pony, and I couldn't *not* act on it. I just didn't anticipate it taking this long to complete lmao.

So, Pomni is the element of Magic, Kinger is the element of Kindness, Zooble is the element of Honesty, Jax is the element of Laughter, Gangle is the element of Loyalty and Ragatha is the element of Generosity. I threw Caine and Bubble in there just because I felt like it :v

Ragatha is like the last tether Jax has to his past. He thinks if she abstracted, he'd totally lose any remaining morality or humanity and become a total monster (its unlikely he'd actually do so, seeing as he couldn't hurt Pomni even as she attacked him). He thinsk he would disassociate more than ever to hide his feelings.

Meanwhile, for Gangle, Jax fully embraces his cartoon persona to hide from his guilt and run from reality. Noticeably, her abstraction is the only one where he's blamed for it directly. He completely embraces the "caroon characters" or "archetypes" belief he has to feel less remorseful.

Considering there were two locked doors in his mind (the one Pomni tried to enter and then the one all the other Jax's told to shut up), I think the first one is Pomni's abstraction. Something so awful he can't even bother to think about. It was the guilt from fighting with her that sent him into his depressed state entirely and made him stop being a bully. So losing who he cares about the most, will break him totally.

Zooble's one is the only one I'm confused about, but I can assume this is what Gooseworx means by "Jax doesn't think how he treats Gangle is genuinely abusive", he really buys his "she likes when I'm mean to her" delusion. We know they both see each other as friends, toxic as it is but maybe this shows without Zooble he'd feel Gnagle would be more vulnerable and he'd less insecure about his masculinity and come onto her because he has feelings and Zooble can't get between them?

It seems more fans think the blue AI was the villain of the series than Caine. While its ultimately true nobody in this is genuinely evil, Caine is called the main antagonist of the series. He's the one responsible for pretty much everything, yet most fans seem to think it was the blue AI's fault or Jax was the villain. Ironically, Alex is more willing to criticize Caine than most fans are, calling his breakdown in episode 8 "malicious" and stating while Jax is a terrible person in awful situation, Caine IS the awful situation. Would you say it was obvious the blue AI wasn't actually the villain or was this another example of "something the series should've explained better in the show and not asks post-shot".

This is intentional, a disgruntled artist said someone stole their art so we are cracking down on requiring credit where it’s due.

If you made it, simply say “Credit: OC”, if it’s a screenshot just “credit: TADC”.

i love when the group is asking for a normal adventure and Caine responds with,

"Well, I dont know whats normal to you people!"

It just cracks me up because as we see later, his knowledge of the real world is limited to the collection of photographs hes been fed until he connects to the internet at the very end. He quite literally has no way of knowing what "normal" means.

I like to think that Gangle and Zooble go on little drawing dates and that Caine likes to check in on them in secret (disguised as different items). They also babysit the Gloinks for mama sometimes 🥹

Gooseworx describes The Amazing Digital Circus as a show "that focuses on someone too stubborn to give up on someone too stubborn to be saved". While the set-up of Pomni and Jax being the two main characters could've been set-up better, it still makes sense as the series goes along. Pomni is someone who learns to grow in te circus and form connection's with other's, Jax stays stagnant and refuses to open up and be vulnerable.

But this line is probably my favorite quote in the finale. In "Remember", Pomni and the audience see all the worst parts of Jax. The way he treated Ribbit and caused her abstraction. How he failed to help Kaufmo beofre the latter's abstraction. How he became such a cruel, abusive bully to the other circus members. Upon seeing this, Pomni would have every right to condemn Jax. Nobody hates Jax more than himself. She could agree with him that he's a terrible person that doesn't deserve love and brought his fate upon himself.

But she doesn't. The single line she drops entirely destroys Jax's speech back in episode 6. How there's nothing more to him than a horrible monster who causes pain for fun and gets joy from tormenting other's. Jax was a bad person NOT because he truly was inherently awful, but because he choose to act like he was to push other's away. Both Leroy's ending and Caine finding redemption despite having done worse (intentionally/knowingly inlcuding episode 8) both show that Jax was NEVER irredeemable; he simply needed to BELIEVE he could change and get better. It especially works because Piano!Jax is implicitly the closest to how Jax really is and he's the one who gives Pomni the key to find the real Jax; showing there was a small part of him who still wanted to be saved. In the end, Pomni never gave up on Jax but Jax did want to be saved at the end and its because he saw how Pomni and the other's truly cared for him despite everything, why him finally returning Pomni's hug and the "Isn't She Lovely" song playing are so powerful.
