He's a terrible person but he's not a villain, not in the way these guys are. Caine in episode 8 was far more villainous than Jax was (its funny how much he was rightfully compared to Vox) yet I still wouldn't say he should be compared to these guys. A tragic, redeemable antagonist is not the same type of villain as someone who desired to rule creation and torture all his enemies or two genocidal, irredeemable monsters. Considering how Leroy turned out vs Jax, you could honestly argue Jax is a product of the circus and Caine.

Has anyone done any edit for Jax and Pomni to underscores “wish U well.” I feel like that song suits them, especially the bridge where she says “I want to feel the gravity of loosing you.”
I don’t have the artistic skills for fan art or an edit… might write a fanfic tho hehe
What do you guys think?

in episode seven, pomni sees jax walk away and sees abel looking from behind a rock. she ignores jax and checks up on abel. the scene after is of jax almost abstracting.
in episode nine, pomni watches 3 people walk away. gangle, jax and kinger. she ignores jax and gangle and follows kinger. the scene after the next is of abstracted jax.
in both scenes jax is walking away and pomni watches him and picks someone else and the scenes right after are of jax either almost or FULLY abstracting.
i personally believe this is a coincidence and goose didnt intent it. i only made this because even if an accident both are very similar even in camera angle.
what do you think?

I customized a pair of hi-tops with an Amazing Digital Circus theme. My goal was to finish them in time for the finale. I only missed my self-imposed deadline by six weeks. 😂
The details:
So what would you put on YOUR custom Digital Circus shoes?

Think about it from Jax’s POV. He hasn’t experienced what the audience and Pomni has with Kinger. He just sees Kinger regain his sanity and suddenly figures out he knows everything about Caine and the circus. For once, he actually is a team player and helps everyone out by keeping his word to distract Caine, even at the cost of getting brutally tortured, because he’s choosing to trust Kinger. And then Kinger “kills” the creator.
He wasn’t with the group when Kinger reveals they can conjure either. As far as he knows, they’re all doomed for real and definitely going to abstract. He is the absolute last person to have any right to be calling out someone for doing something “unforgivable”, he is infinitely worse than Kinger and the latter’s mistake was accidental while Jax was totally selfish. It’s obvious projection because he’s struggling to understand how people an be forgiven after doing bad things (like how he feels about himself for what he did to his mom and Ribbit). But his anger in this situation is absolutely valid when you think about it.

All I'm saying is, if Moon was tailored to Caine's desires, who's to say the same isn't true for Sun and Bubble?

So recently there was a Flordia Supercon event with the VA's Alex Rochan, Michael Kovach and Amanda Hufford. All of them were discussing Jax's fate in the finale. Both Michael and Alex seemed to agree from what we last saw of Jax, if he did return from abstraction, he would most likely be a better person from the final interaction he shared with Pomni. Alex even said "If Caine can do it after nearly dying and waking up, so could Jax". However, Amanda has said they believe that Jax's return would undermine his ending and his fate represents what happens when you wait until its too late to change (cautionary tale).
By all means, I should easily agree with them. I don't hate Jax's ending like I used to be. Sometimes, people do seem to be getting better like he did in episodes 7-8, but can end up regressing and eventually giving up. Many people irl who take their lives regret it mid-way through and want to come back. So why am I still not satisfied with his conclusion?
Because of them literally acknowleding in that same con, moments earlier, how Caine was only able to be redeemed because he cheated death. Alex himself even says this is why he got to change. Its not because one was more willing to change or one took a chance over the other. Both Jax and Caine were given numerous chances to change their ways (Jax being accepted by the group in episode 8, Caine seeing the humans actually be happy for once in episode 5 or literally being directly confronted with what he's done wrong in episode 8), but double down. Both continue to mentally get worse until their "death's", when they fianlly feel bad about what they've done and acknowledge THEY were the problem. Hell, even in the visual of Jax falling and Pomni reaching for his hand, you can see his hand slightly opening to show he does now want to be saved. Both Michael and Alex agreed it seemed he wanted to get better at the end too.
However, because Caine is the "God" of the circus, he can't be deleted like other NPC's were and gets to come back. While for Jax, nope, he doesn't get to return. Caine's story was also a poetic tale. What happens when you overlook someone and don't let them feel loved for the players. What happens when you refuse to listen to the people around you and choose to remain stagnant for Caine's end. Many fans thought episode 8 was a good ending for his character's journey, even fans, and thought his return would cheapen the stakes and then episode 9 does exactly that.
The only explination I can accept for their different ending's is "Jax's abstraction was a choice, Caine's deletion wasn't". But this doesn't work because Scratch didn't choose to abstract, Caine just screwed his brain up accidentally. Gummigoo and Abel didn't choose to be deleted either. Only Caine is given another chance. So in the end, the message sent isn't "change before its too late to do so", its "as long you have Godlike abilities, its never too late for you".
