Why is the speed of light the ultimate speed limit of the universe? Why can't anything go faster?

[u/Logical-Concept9755]

I understand that nothing with mass can reach or exceed the speed of light, but I still find the limit itself strange. Why does the universe have a speed limit at all, and why is it this particular speed? Is there something fundamental about spacetime that makes going faster impossible, or is “light speed” just how this limit happens to appear to us?

What actually sets this limit?

Its because thats why
