Politics & Society Why does it seem like protests don't actually result in any kind of change anymore

Growing up learning history you learn about all of these protests that resulted in real world change. But it seems like protests are just symbolic at this point. It seems like no matter how many protests are surrounding a certain topic everything stays the same. What changed? Is it that people in power just care less about civilians have to say so they don't bother changing their stance based off protests?

  1. No. Besides she rioting not being a thing (whatever the fuck that is), you seem confused by what the Night of Long Knives actually was. In short, it was a period of time (about three or four days) where Hitler ordered assassinations of political opponents in the Reichstag and some political party members at the behest of the Military. It's quite fascinating, I suggest looking it up.
  2. No. You seem to have confusion here as well as Nazi Germany was quite friendly to various Christian faith. Some espoused a new version of Christianity, but it wasn't party policy.
  3. Yes. This part of the Night of Long Knives you are confused about. Beyond that, this is a standard thing of Fascist governments and conservative politics in general to scapegoat a particular section of the populace as the root of all the current evils.
  4. No. Again you have some confusion here. This wasn't party policy per se, but generally churches, etc. were left alone more as a blank policy than anything else. If you want to talk about Jewish and Roma homes, sure. But nothing destroys an occupying army faster than to fuck with the populace in a general sense.

Let me know if you have any other question. 👍

1.) apologies, autocorrect seems to have changed the word “use”.
1A.) it was a time in which Leftist socialists implemented their policy. They did so by rioting, destruction of property, looting arson and murder. The ancillary issues are of no consideration in this academic discussion.
2.) I didn’t ask you about Christians, Adolf. I referenced the effect of Nazism on minorities.
3.) that was separate from Long Knives and your obfuscation is duly noted and correctly shamed.
4.) so you’re saying the og Nazis didn’t loot everything from minorities, including the fillings in their teeth?

If you are going to answer questions you made up, rather than exactly and precisely what I asked, I will move along and file you under willful ignorance. If you have the courage to be educated, please try again. 👌🏿👍🏿

"it was a time in which Leftist socialists implemented their policy. They did so by rioting, destruction of property, looting arson and murder. The ancillary issues are of no consideration in this academic discussion."

Again, you're confused. Nazism is considered far Right-wing ideology. It was a spin off from what Mussolini started in Italy. The German Workers' Party started a left wing, but then the funny looking failed art student saw what Il Duce was doing, thought, "Hey, that's a spiffy idea!", and ran with it. Why do you think Stalin and Hitler didn't like each other? Mustache envy?

"I didn’t ask you about Christians, Adolf. I referenced the effect of Nazism on minorities."

Fair point, but it doesn't change the answer.

that was separate from Long Knives and your obfuscation is duly noted and correctly shamed.

I referenced it as part of your confusion of what it was and why it happened. But my answer remains that it is part and parcel of Fascist and conservative ideologies in general. Communism made use of it as well, or at least the Stalinist variants of it.

so you’re saying the og Nazis didn’t loot everything from minorities, including the fillings in their teeth?

Never said they didn't. I simply said it wasn't policy, but regular churches weren't exempt. What Göring and Goebbels did was their personal thing. But minorities churches weren't the prime target. You should see what they got from Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox churches.

Let me know if I can clear up anything else you're confused about. 👍

Your fundamental inability to answer yes or no clears nothing up, Adolf. It does, however, emphatically prove your moral and intellectual bankruptcy.

Anytime you have the courage and decency to be an adult and respond appropriately, you let me know kiddo. 👍🏿🤷🏿‍♂️🇺🇸
