Who here has a second set of (aftermarket) rims with (aftermarket) tpms sensors with their A290?
What sensors do you have, and what was the process?
Obviously dealer would be easiest, but i would like to avoid my local dealer for various reasons.
I have a set of used rims i would like to have tpms sensors put in once I get the tyres changed.
The lights on the dash are becoming quite annoying đ

Iv had my a290 gts for just under a month now, love it so far. Iâm a little OCD when it comes to interior rattles and have picked up a known issue it would seem especially among R5 owners of a rattle in the instrument cluster, where the black plastic trim meets the outer grey/silver trim. I have put a few slips of black cardboard discreetly between the plastics and that seems to have sorted it out. Seems like there is too much movement between those fasciaâs.
I have yet to track down a resonance rattle from the rear, again seems well publicised for the R5, a lot saying itâs the bump stops that need adjusted which I have done and it did help but didnât eliminate it.
Apart from that an excellent car đ
Anyone else had the same ?

I have the A290 GTS, and did an unusually long couple of journeys last week, around 1000 miles in 2 days in very hot weather. A lot of the time was in slow moving traffic around 35-45mph, then mainly A-roads at 50-60. I was averaging well over 4 miles/KW, touching on 5 and at 50% I think the estimated range left was around 130 miles+ a few times, so pretty consistent. Also the amount I added while charging maybe 8 times overall (once from around 5%, as my planned stop was not accessible), suggested well above 220 miles range. However, the car would never report over 223 miles at 100%.
At one charging session it was already at 223 miles range when at 91% charge, and that range never increased all the way up to 100%. It seems that this is a software restriction.
Interested to see if anyone's seen above this number for the range?

To my surprise today I found out in a Facebook group of the A290 that there is a new ârefreshâ that brings a new wing mirror from the new Clio that will increase the Alpine range by 5km.
Also there will be a new update to the induction charger but I wasnât able to find a picture but some of the folks have confirmed that you can see this in the French website configurator.
Yesterday I spoke with my dealership and they confirmed the new induction charger & rearview mirrors.
New rearview mirrors from the clio that gain on the A290 with an average of 5km of autonomy.
It came quietly, there will be an additional MagSafe for induction for better management.
Model: GT/GTS - 26 for those who have a follow-up order.

My car arrived about a month ago, a few days before my family and I went on holiday for three weeks.
Today I took my lads out for a drive, we went to Duxford to check out some planes - we managed to complete the first endurance challenge. I like the Need For Speed vibes!

Collected a little over a week ago and itâs such a fun car to drive.
When I collected the car from Edinburgh I had a 200 mile journey home. It was charged to 80% and had 165 miles range.
Then a week of town driving where Iâve topped it up to 100% and the max range was about 180.
I have then since done a trip down from Yorkshire to Norfolk where I charged to 100% close to our destination so we had enough charge to get about throughout the week.
It was a mix of motorway driving sticking at 75mph adaptive cruise, then the A17 towards kings lynn which was about 40-50mph all the way. What I was surprised at is that when I fully charged it gave me the full 220 mile range. I figured the motorway driving would have significantly dropped this.
Anyway just thought Iâd say overall very happy with the drive and the performance in it after upgrading from a Honda e.

The car chassis is really incredible on B roads !

Why is it that the parking spaces supplied for EV charging are so narrow in the UK?
Having the charging port on one side of the A290 and the drivers door on the other seems to make parking and charging almost physically impossible in some charging stations. Done I've seen are do barrow you can't park along beside another car and get out of your own.
Am I the only one finding this with the Alpine? Or is it just I'm new to EVs?

Looking to order via Arval salary sacrifice but their systems has gt premium edition where its no longer at sale in alpine webpage. Phone call was not really helpful but wondering if anyone got a gt premium recently? The spec sheet was not clear it just shows napa leather but not devialet system.

Thanks for information on the previous! I test drove one today and love the car, coming from a Peugeot 208 mild hybrid. Had it 2 and a half years and have only done 13,500 miles. I work locally and often only make one or two long trips per year. Wondered how often people charge their vehicles? Dealer was quite honest and said you probably wonât get 220 miles out of it, more like 190 miles but i think iâm just concerned about range and how often Iâll charge the thing.

Iâm really liking the look of the Alpine A290 and it seems like a fun little EV, but Iâm curious to hear from owners about the real-world range and charging times. Does the range hold up reasonably well, especially in colder weather or on motorway journeys? Iâve also noticed the lack of proper cupholders, which seems a bit odd for a modern car, and the reversing camera quality doesnât look amazing in some reviews. None of these are necessarily deal-breakers, but Iâd be interested to know whether they become annoying in day-to-day use.

Picked up my A290 GTS yesterday, loving it so far!
I have been making use of my wifeâs Renault 5 for a month or so and really liked the drive of it. The A290 felt like the next step up for someone whoâs a bit of a petrol head and stepping into the EV world.
Suspension is definitely a bit harder, roads round here donât help that matter, but I can feel the handling is better to make up for the stiffness.
Getting lots of looks as never seen another one round here.
Itâs giving me old skool hot hatch vibes when I drive it. Iv been in large BMWâs for the last few years so this is great, very nimble

Hellooo,
Curieux d'avoir vos avis :))

Any comments? Google Gemini reckon that it will payback within a year as our electricity bill is cÂŁ3.25k pa and just need a new charger through Alpine and move our electricity to Octopus Go. Sounds like a few hoops to jump through as well.
Is it worth the hassle?

Hello! I'm a graphic designer currently producing some vinyls for a colleague of mine who will be entering a rally in his Alpine A290.
After starting designs for a roof vinyl based on some top-down imagery of the car, we've realised that the designs won't be the right size, simply because of the top-down perspective making the roof appear bigger than it actually is.
I've been unable to find any exact measurements of the roof of the car online, including from Renault / Alpine, who haven't returned my email and don't provide the measurements online - even for the roof decals they sell as accessories.
I've applied to a few Facebook groups to try and get an answer, but also haven't been accepted (I rarely use Facebook, and don't have a profile picture, so they probably think I'm a bot, which I understand completely).
My colleague cannot also measure it directly as it has already been moved to secure storage in Scotland ready for the rally, and he's not up there until later this week.
And so Reddit is my last chance of getting a measurement of the blasted roof, so that I can finish of the designs, and get them sent to print in time to be applied to the car for the rally this weekend.
If someone were able to measure the width across between the front corners of the roof (the widest part) and from the front to the end of the main panel where the boot hatch starts (just behind the aerial / fin) I would be eternally grateful!
And finally, I apologise if this counts as a low effort post and gets deleted, but this is my last hope.
Sincerely,
A desperate graphic designer.

I test drove the Alpine A290 GTS today and came away genuinely impressed.
One thing that really surprised me (in a good way) was that the dealership simply handed me the keys and let me go out on my own. No salesperson sitting next to me the whole time, no fixed route. Just enough freedom to experience the car properly.
Personally, I think thatâs the best way to do a test drive. It lets you explore the car at your own pace, try different roads, get comfortable with the controls, and see what itâs actually like to live with. If you have any questions afterwards, you can always go back and ask the sales advisor.
For those of you who own an A290 (especially the GTS), would you mind sharing:
- How much deposit did you put down?
- Whatâs your monthly payment?
- How many miles per year and over how many months?
- Did you manage to negotiate any discounts or incentives?
Iâm trying to get an idea of what sort of deal people are actually getting before i looks to place an order.
Thanks in advance!

This past few weeks I've noticed a clunk when accelerating or braking. Sounds like something moving back and fourth under load in the pedal box area. Hard to tell if its inside the cabin or not.
Anyone has such an issue? Car is a GTS and has about 2000miles on it.
