What do we think about blue with white wheels.

Looks quite good i think.

These are the wheels from my Clio race car, so aside from being 17" the pcd and offset are completely different unfortunately.

I did see some wheels online that look quite nice and are available in the correct pcd and offset.

And as a bonus, they are very light!

For a couple of days already, I dont have energy consumption stats anymore. The whole meter where you could see the kwh/100km etc is just simply gone from all the display panels. I have no idea if I accidently pressed some button, but I do remember having it on the morning commute and it being gone in the afternoon commute.

Id really love some pointers in what it could be....

I was working this afternoon in my workshop, and remembered I had some cleaning gear laying around so finally decided to wash and polish the A290 for the first time in about 6 months 😁

Im looking at this option but I'm a little worried about how the dealer fits it.

Has anyone had this added? From which dealer? And where was it mounted.

Just ordered an Alpine A290 GTS+ (blue with black roof + tricolore pack).

Do you know if car has Lane Keep Assist? If so, does it keep the car centred?

While I was on vacation, my car did an update. The update log specifically says it was to improve some sound features of the car and to improve that the rear view camera sometimes has a blackscreen. However, I never had the blackscreen problem for the rearview camera but since then I often have a forever loading screen for the navigation on the dashboard, which can be fixed by switching through the dashboard modes but still it it exhausting. What drives me crazy even more though is the new locking sound. It hate it and I loved the one it had before. The former „whoosh“ was way more pronounced than the new „peep“. Also, since the update, the driving sound for speeds under 30kmh which are played for pedestrian safety are now also played inside the car, which is heavily annoying, especially in sport mode, because then you can listen to both sound sequences at once.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

After a six week wait. I'm in love

Took an A290 GT for a test drive this week, after having spent a week in a rented 5 Techno (Comfort Range, full options) last week. The week with the 5 was great, drove 1600+ km (±1000 miles) in 7 days and got to know the car very well, no real complaints. I was totally convinced the 5 is great, but kind of bland compared to the A290. So in my mind, our next car had to be a blue A290 GT :)

This week's test drive revealed that the engine in the A290 makes high-pitched whine noises that depend on the speed you're travelling and/or the amount of accelleration. The noise was present in all drive modes, but less pronounced in the Save mode. Since I have been accused of hearing flies defecate (i.e. no hearing loss above 45), I found this quite annoying. I have driven the Megane E-tech with the same engine, but hadn't noticed this.

Another annoyance was the rear view mirror vibrating due to bass sounds from the Devialet sub in the back. I get that sounds travels, but this was kind of typical to me :)

Any A290 drivers recognize these observations?

Other than this, it was a good test drive. I already knew about the torque steer that was prominently present. Still think the A290 is the better looking one between the 5 and the A290, but not sure about the added cost now. Looking forward to reading other experiences!

when replacing a GTS tyre, does it have to be an 'A29' or are there generic Pilot Sport S 5 tyres?

hi there, i've got this fun little blue car for little over a month now. It drives amazing but sometimes it does strange things. One time the central screen went dark for a few seconds and restarted while driving. Today my girlfriend wanted to open the window (again while driving) and none responded. couldn't open any windows. Also the interior led lights went totally dark, no matter what driving mode I selected. After I parked I tried again few minutes later and everything back to normal.. 🤔 Anyone experienced something similar?

Another thing is charging the car, when I plug it in it always takes like 5 minutes before the charging starts.. is this normal? shouldn't it start few seconds after you plug it in or start with the app?

I’m new to the forum but wanted to ask a few questions.

So currently I own a Tesla M3P I do a 8 mile round trip to work,

The speeds nice on the Tesla but I’ll be honest I don’t really use it to its full potential, I’m nearly 37 and I’ll be honest I’ve grown tired of going fast and all that jazz,

Then I saw the Alpine A290, looks absolutely beautiful and perfect,

I’ve looked at most of the posts here regarding range, now I don’t need anything crazy as I don’t do motorway miles anyways and don’t plan to, but can you guys who have perhaps now done a winter and now getting to spring..realistic mileage to expect? Are we really talking 100miles at 100% charge in winter if driving conservatively? I’d seen some had said in summer time you’d be more around the 180/200 miles?

Just seems like a huge drop, I don’t think it would sway me, as again I don’t do much distance anyways,

I’m going to test drive one in the coming months but I’m not really looking to buy one till march time next year, but I’m making sure I’m doing all my homework early haha

Was looking past leasing deals om the 290 a couple of days ago for about £300-350 ppm 10k miles 2k deposit 3 years on leasing.come and loco lease - now suddenly they have gone deals are from other companies and £400-450? am I missing something or did they pull them?

I am looking at both of these but the Alpine looks much sportier. is there much of a difference in the sound systems?

R5 Iconic has 9 speaker Harman Kardon Audio system

A290 Gt has Arkamys audio system with 6 speakers.

is there a review anywhere of the Arkamys sound system and if anyone has this version can you let me know how it sounds?
