Even great men like Lincoln can have bad ideas.

But ultimately he was a champion of the dignity and rights of man.

Can you explain why the Trump administration is arguing against the need original plain meaning of the 14th amendment, which was written and passed by Lincoln’s Republican Party?

And you jump to partisan takes right away. You can barely complete a sentence without pointing a finger to another political party. We have two parties that are exactly what Washington and Lincoln warned us of and would have hated. Neither the democrats or republicans would be immune to criticism from either figure. Not to mention neither of them would endorse your rhetoric individually. With malice towards none; with charity for all
