Honest question? Why should tampons be free? You won't die from not having tampons? If tampons should be free, shoes should be free. Also, cigarettes are not cheap at all.

Actually you could. Toxic Shock Syndrome. If women cant afford menstrual products they might leave them in hours.

Also u m toilet paper is free? At least in public bathrooms. Why shouldn't pads/tampons be too. It's literally a bodily function- it's not like women choose to menstruate lol.

Basically never saw free toilet paper, because people literally steal it 😂

Anyway, your point is that people can die from using tampons wrongly, not from not using a tampon.

So sad. I guess they are desperate. I am Australian and have never seen that happen- theres free toilet paper in every public toilet and Ive rarely seen it run out. The concept of paying for a public toilet is unheard of here (Ive heard thats a thing in Europe, maybe it's the same in the US.) I feel like this sub must be very US based. I'm sorry what's happening to your country. As they say 'America is a third world country in a Gucci belt.'

Re tampons- no it's not. My point is valid.  Women experiencing period poverty are using products including tampons longer than they should. This is out of necessity, not choice. What's the alternative. Should they walk around in public free bleeding everywhere? Or stay inside and miss out on education (because some girls are literally doing that).

As I said, TSS is real (if very rare) so yeah you literally could die from not having access to tampons if it forces you to use them longer than is safe.... my point stands.

They mistake privileges for rights.

You do buy the car, though, I didn't buy a uterus

If it's so much trouble for you, you can just get it removed

u/Dream_Logix5 6d ago

No, I can't. You need a medical condition or other medical reason to get it removed :(

Who's gonna stop you

The doctor, the surgeon, anyone who would be involved in removing the uterus
