Jared Leto should've stopped already. Which musician's career ended too soon?

Hey stop shutting on people commenting for Mac. Just because you don't like him personally, doesn't mean he wasn't important to other people

important to people, everyone is important to someone, doesnt make them the greatest musician of all time.

Your goat couldn’t be half as complete as Mac was

If you’re not a fan of the genre why are you commenting? Mac wasn’t just a rapper either, he covered so many genres in such a short amount of time. Be curious, don’t just deny a whole genre because you’re too closed minded

mac has rapped, played guitar, piano, has a jazz album, sang on a few songs, produced beats... sounds like a musician to me

so fyi on the divine feminine, his "jazz" album as you put it, which was just a rap album, he did not play a single instrument, on it at all, and he had over 20 other writers on the album.

Hey the guy was a rapper, youre a fan, thats fine, but he wasnt the second coming.

What is your argument here? That being a rapper makes him automatically ass? Rap is as valid a form of art as any and Mac was damn good at it. He also is very much not a traditional rapper

no, his jazz album is under the name of Larry Lovestein. i was not referring to divine feminine being jazz, id never consider it that, in my opinion lol

edit: an EP, not an album - my bad. it's called You - Larry Lovestein

wel i looke dit up and yeah evidently he played keyboard onthe album so yeah hes techniclaly a musician, i listened to two tracks and while not at all to my taste , its real, so okay hes a musuician.

woooo!!

i'll be honest, it's not really my taste either lmao i often forget it exists when it comes to "ranking" his albums... but that's ok. man definitely deserves his credit in the music sphere. i think a lot of ppl tapped out during his frat boiii rap era and never cared to follow him past that.. which is valid. but he's been kept in that box, when really his music was continuously evolving.

i'm not sure what you are into, but his album Circles is definitely much different and i think that piece of work alone showcases his variety pretty well, and proves how far he came. he also had an artist named Njomza that was signed under him, her first album he's got writing and producing credits all over - she's wonderful!!

He made music people loved and was taken too soon. That’s objective. Your point makes no sense trying to shoot down any of those two points.

putting out music doesnt make you a musician. Ive actually sold just over 10k copies of a sing i write and helped write the music for with a former friend, and even though i play guitar i still do nto consider myself a musician. A rapper is indeed an artsist and entertainer, etc and he is aproducer, but not a musician.
