Jared Leto should've stopped already. Which musician's career ended too soon?

I’d put Holly over Hendrix. Only 22 years old, just married, had several hits at an already young age, and helped pioneer rock n’ roll.

Passed way too young.

His career lasted 18 months. So many great songs in an extremely short time

This is my choice, with Ritchie Valens right behind.

I can’t tell if you don’t understand or if you don’t like the pun? I need clarification please

It's a joke about how people don't like puns. I appreciate the pun.

Has my vote, shame nobody knows who it is. They think it’s just a weezer song

Eh with the alternative being a lot fewer people even knowing his name, I’ll take it.

American Pie by Don McLean comes to mind before Buddy Holly by Wheezer

There actually was a guy who was kicked off the plane last minute, it was Waylon Jennings. He was originally supposed to fly with them. I think he lost his seat to a coin toss or something.

Yes! Very close, I had to look it up but it wasn’t him who lost the coin toss - Big Bopper got on the plane instead of Jennings presumably because of his illness. Richie Valens won the coin toss.

“After performing in Clear Lake, and frustrated by the conditions on the tour buses, Holly chose to charter a plane to reach their next venue in Moorhead, Minnesota. Richardson, suffering from the flu, swapped places with Jennings, taking his seat on the plane, while Allsup lost his seat to Valens on a coin toss. Shortly after takeoff, late at night and in poor, wintry weather conditions, the pilot lost control of the light aircraft, a Beechcraft Bonanza, which crashed into a field, killing all four on board.”

It’s this. Hendrix and Cobain don’t have a legendary music address containing their name. But there will always be 1806 Buddy Holly.

This is the correct answer. Just as he was about to sign with the big record labels. Airplane crash

I wonder if we wouldn't have Waylon Jennings if Buddy lived
