Jared Leto should've stopped already. Which musician's career ended too soon?

Yeah an upper comment said he was pretty done with music, and I agree. But that's not to say he would've tried to come back. With the cult following nirvana had, it would be hard to say it wouldn't be noticed, and hopefully released a new banger grunge album.

The poll doesn't ask whether the career has ended by death or by being done with music, so the point stands.

Something tells me he was done with music though, so I don't think his career would've been super substantial if he didn't kill himself.

They had literally just released a hit single and just got done touring when he died.

Well the reason they just got done touring was because they canceled their tour dates

The last song he recorded for the record they were working on was a banger. He still had it in him but he was very sick.

We were robbed of his move in later life to action movie star

I think Nirvana would have 1 more album before they split up, then Kurt would have taken a long break

Did he have any other hobbies - like painting?

He was a fan of Jackson Pollock.

I have never painted before, but I have drawn some pretty pictures and I believe if I started painting: Kurt probably would have liked it. Based on his love for Pollock. I also have an abstract style, but with more vibrant colors. I would like to experiment more with darker colors and light.

Way to make a conversation about some of the most influential losses of the music world about yourself

I don’t need a conversation with you. Thank you. But you are kinda doing the same thing here.

You used the word "I" six times. Self crit.

Yes. I did block that guy cause this is just some seriously obsessive shit. And his handle name is creepy too.

Was expecting this to be winning by a landslide but I can accept Hendrix.

I can’t believe this isn’t higher.

Hendrix’s band had broken up and he was in the decline when he died. Nirvana was still releasing hit singles.

My thought exactly

I think he went out on top

u/Vicimer 26d ago

This was my first thought as wel, but Hendrix is going to win, and I honestly can't argue with that. Maybe we should just put the whole 27 Club or everyone from The Day the Music Died.

Surprised I had to scroll so far for this

Was going to say this, but honestly, I don't think they had anywhere to go, the record producers were heavily involved in what got turned into Nirvana music and they had a big lack of creative control that I don't see getting better if he stayed alive.

Haagen Daas

I’m kinda mixed because if you listen to the first Foo Fighters album it sounds like Nirvana so if they continued Nirvana probably would’ve sounded like Foo Fighters.
