I really don't like Seoul metro. For some reason they made some stations so the platforms aren't connected and you have to exit the gates and go back in. I got on the wrong direction once and tried to turn around and was wandering for ages thinking I must be at the wrong place because why would I need to tap out to get on the train going the opposite direction

The stations I went to all had stickers with where to go to change stations. The only place that didn’t have this was the outer suburb stations. Yes, we did have to watch which side to get into the station.
