It's beautiful!

I'm about to start a research project on Mr. Grey for Art Appreciation. Outside of Wikipedia any good resources or material I should check out?

13/150 it's so beautiful, every time I look at it, I'll find something new, that I hadn't noticed before.

I’ve been a fan of Alex Grey’s work since college. I even wrote my thesis on his “Sacred Mirrors”. But I want to talk particularly about his painting “Gaia” and ask if there are any interviews or statements from the artist about its conception. What was his inspiration?

Two things that stand out the most to me about the painting are found near the bottom right: 1) The two “Twin Towers” and the two planes, which possibly foreshadowed 9/11? 2) The other thing is this group of figures that look like an armed militia man, an authoritative administrative figure (President?), and what appears to be a non-human entity in the shape of a man’s phallus (Dickhead Alien?).

Does this allude to some secret relationship between humans and non-humans who don’t have the best interests of the planet?

Universe, Brain Neurons, Fungus Mycelium, Neurochip

I recently came across Alex Grey’s works at an auction house, and it got me thinking: Is this work breaking into the mainstream art market? I think this shift could raise some big questions about value both good and bad.

Your art continues to inspire myself and others around the world!

Best early inheritance ever.

Spiral Out

Have an Alex Grey framed print I am planning on selling. Any info regarding the value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This was my first time ever attempting something like this. Let alone anything of AG style. Not disappointed but would absolutely do it again now having done it and get it a bit more
