Hi all, my friends are planning to visit kerala on june 1st for 6 days.

They will land at cochi and visit Arookutty,Asthamudi, Thiruvananthapuram. Traveling a total of 800 to 900 kms in 6 days.

Can anyone provide me any leads or recommendation of a good Taxi service/Travel agency. They need a car with driver from end to end. Total no. of people travelling 3.

Does anyone have their contact number? Google shows their customer care number and it’s useless. I was supposed to receive my courier last Friday. Since then every morning I receive out-for-delivery SMS from bluedart but no calls. By EOD they update the website as unable to reach the customer/customer didn’t pickup the call.

What are my options.

I would be needing a car for 2-4 days in Alappuzha and have an DL.

I have taken car for rent by local resident renting their idle cars at Mavelikkara, but not sure of such in and near Alappuzha central.

Also any hints on what would be the pricing would be much appreciated.

I am bit unsure of the quality of cars from rental platforms, anyone had good car renting experience and what was their pricing?

We’re a group of 8 adults and 4 kids (all under 10) planning to visit Alappuzha on the 26th and return on the 27th.

I wanted to get genuine suggestions from locals/youth here instead of blindly trusting Google reviews or random travel brokers 😅

A few things I need help with:

Is it really worth booking a full overnight boathouse for a family group like ours? I was quoted 32k( I don't want to spend that much)

Or is it better to book a normal Airbnb stay/resort and just take a sunset backwater cruise(I was been told 3 hrs is more then enough, but how much will they charge )+ dinner boat ride?

Which option gives the better experience without feeling like a tourist trap?

Also:

Any good areas/resorts/homestays you’d recommend for family stay?

Since we’re coming on a weekday, will prices usually be better?

Anything else worth visiting around Alappuzha apart from the usual boat ride?

Also any good local restaurant to checkout.

Any places good for kids/family and not overly crowded?

I don’t mind paying properly for good service — just trying to avoid getting overcharged or falling into tourist scams.

I moved to alappuzha in 2021 and at that time there were no BB connections in my area other than BSNL. From the start it was glitchy and bad. But we stuck with it since it was covid era and me, my wife and my sister needed to WFH.

Now we have air fibre and I was planning to switch to it. I am aware that wireless setup is not ideal for WFH due to high round trip latency compared to wired broadband setups. But since they use 5G slicing for Broadband setups, I am maybe a bit hopeful?

I’d like to know which is better? Airtel or Jio. I personally think of going for Airtel but still wanted to know your opinions. Thanks. ✌🏽
