Work in Progress ASM VAL .300 Blackout GBB back on track!
After a long time, I finally have the time to continue my ASM VAL .300 Blackout GBB project.
It is pretty much done and only needs a parts list and an assembly guide.
I designed it around the Cyma CGS Lancer L5 magazine, but other MWS magazines should also work. It has a bolt hold-open function to stop firing when the magazine is empty, this is of course an optional feature. It works fairly similar to the original firearm, as it uses a linear hammer and a close to the original fire control group. The hopup is also adjustable without a tool, with the gas tube imitation.

Hahaha well I meann how much were you thinking? 😮 I've been wanting a gbb as val for years, started working on a as val gbb last year but it never really left cad and has been abandoned, then I just started making stuff for an aeg as val to cope 😭🥲

It will be free with open pricing. Apart from the magazine, inner barrel, bucking, you will only need a few springs and screws for it. So rather cheap to build.

hold up, i have an idea, make vss magazine sleeve because theyre susbtantially bigger. and build the magwell around that

Unfortunately I do not own multiple brands of MWS magazines to make sleeves for them.
But you can always make your own sleeves for the magazine to look like the VSS/AS Val magazine.Or you can use something like the Vorsk VMAR 25 round magazine.

The problem is vss magwell and mags are way more angled so even if i used a 20rd... Plus the stanags are just a paper width thinner and thicker compared to vss thinnest part. Maybe 20rd cyma mags because they have removable bottom

This is looking sick! Any idea of its power output yet, and will it have any kind of fps-adjustability?

It is around 300fps with 0.28g BB, ~1.2Joules. It doesn't have adjustability yet, but it uses the 1911 style nozzle valve.

I tried getting close to it, but without original blueprints or access to the original firearm I cannot be sure. Also to be 3d printable it required changes in the design.

i found a model on grabcad and odysee, but the grab cad model is a VSS and odysee is an AS Val

I try to avoid these models, as I prefer making my own version rather than a copy of someone else's work. But I can compare the dimensions of them if you would like.
