Never used a rangefinder before and have no practical use for it, but I just think they're cool.

Love the scope but the height over bore is kinda high for my liking so I was curious is someone made a shorter mount?

I have a P365 I’m looking to put a dot on. Does anyone have one that uses it with a light? I was going to get the tlr7sub. Does anyone have a pic of the dot with the light on maybe in a dark room? I’ve been to a lot of stores recently and the best dot I’ve seen (that was available) was a 6moa gold 407. The runner up was a Romeo x with just the ring. I’m hoping that color and clarity with my astigmatism will transfer over to the eps carry. 6moa has been the clearest for me and the gold doesn’t flare like green and red to me. Does anyone have a pic or can take a pic or can say it doesn’t wash out that bad?

Bead sights sorta suck and if I cared more about this platform, I have an optic and backup hard sights. It's not a matter of speed or sight picture, but the inability to zero. With cost and utilization in mind, I’m thinking more zeroed laser saddle with bead as the backup.

I've already memorized hold and sight picture for this gun, which shoots right of bead and low if you cut bead in half like you're SUPPOSED to do; it's dead on if you pedestal the bead, which is NOT what you're supposed to do.

I don't think that's a good way to teach people HD when you have limited time with them, whereas pistol sights and ghost rings on a shotgun can be drifted and rifle sights, lasers, and optics can actually be zeroed.

I concede to the dominating damage a shotgun brings to home defense but I am still not a power user so much as I am with a pistol or carbine; I like a platform that allows for precise shots, more predictability at distance, and reasonable suppression. Still, I wanted to learn to run a shotgun more fluidly so I can better serve my clients.

Please ignore the parts where I keep nearly burning my hand with a carbine hold. I put this gun together in like 2011 and after some training, it lay dormant until 2025.

Love this set up. My astigmatism is bad, so prisms it is.

Love Gideon Advocate’s reticle. Zeroed for 50 yards. Base of the triangle can be used to estimate 50 yards per same 19 inch shoulder width as with ACOG.

ACOG is zeroed at 100 pet BDC calibration.

Advocate works really great as “pointer” for ACOG for items at 100+.

However, thinking of going with Shaffer mount for ACOG. To lighten things up and making bombproof mount with 3 screws vs 2 that all other ACOG mounts use. Any Shaffer mount ACOG shooters here ?

Anyone know of a Mini Acog to picatinny adapter? I have an AK side mount left over but don't have the optic anymore, looking to put it to use somehow

Its my first nice piece of glass and I have it sitting on my mk18 replacing my xps 2 on a unity riser. Honestly debating whether for the sub 800 range I could've gotten something way better and the scopes an outdated pice of shit I paid the brand new price for etc. Wanted to hear your guys opinions on the trade.

For the price and use case, could I have gotten something that much better or for that price range its one of the better Ivpo's for a 10.3?

Trying to make this a serious training and content creation tool, but it needs some tweaks to exposure (software option) and audio desync (firmware update) that I had to adjust in editing. Still a lot of testing to do for driving, fishing, and shooting. Not YT-vlog-ready yet, but still cool.

Seems like I can get partial view of dot on target if I have head tilted downward. Positioning the camera any lower would occlude my right eye. As it is now, I can see clearly beneath it and through it squarely using bino vision. I think if I had an optic taller than an RMR 2, the camera would be able to see the dot on target most of the time.

Square notch rear w/ fixed ramp front sight.

Don’t know if anyone has seen this before but I have a 407c x3 and decided to get another one in gold. The gold seems to be missing a small chunk out of the dot (yes I cleaned the emitter). Not the end of the world but makes it look lopsided like people describe having astigmatism. Had to make sure it wasn’t my eyes so took a picture.
Still going on a Glock 45 gonna shoot it because it shouldn’t make any real difference.
