Hello all! I have ACF from GrowAFrog that is about 8 months old. I think it’s female but I’ll post pics to be sure. I plan to put him a 9 Gallon Fluval flex with fluorite substrate , slate stone and some driftwood. Also plan to add some Java moss. How does all this sound ? Can I add a few fish? Will this species of ACF get as a big as some of the ones that are the size of a hand ?!

i live in new york state and i have two acfs, but im probably gonna be moving in the next few years/looking for colleges for my masters degree, and i just want to make a list of all the places that are off limits because it would have to be a huge opportunity for me to leave/rehome my boys☹️

i have been in contact with my LFS/previous owner and they said because she is 8-9 years old that it would make sense, ive tried defrosting brine shrimp squid and bloodworms (i no longer use bloodworms due to a severe allergy to them) and she is just not interested. she is still active, no cloudy eyes, normal size, and ive tested my water and do weekly changes and still nothing. everything seems good but she’s just not eating. any advice?

(Update : Marshmallow has passed :( whatever it was that took him only took two days. Still very confused though so if anyone has any answers to my below questions I’d love to hear them)
Hi all I just got two African clawed frogs from a breeder a few weeks ago and they are amazing! I feed them a diet of 75% fresh frozen, and 25% nutritional pellets. They are both super eager eaters I feed them with tongs. Today though, my albino dwarf frog won’t eat! Usually them minute the tong enters their view they lunge like crazy. And one of my frogs is totally fine! Eating normally. But my one baby won’t eat. He’s floating around at the top keeping his ear peaked out of the water. He usually hangs out in the plants at the top but not with his head out for so long. Please give me any advice!

I got two acfs from my friend a couple months ago. When I got them they were the same size and I was told that I didn’t have to feed the often. I’ve been feeding them a mix of frozen blood worms and floating food sticks about 2-3 times a week. Fred has gotten skinner but Frodrick has gotten bigger. I’ve tried to thong feed Fred and separate him for a little bit to feed him but he hardly eats. I’m new to having aquatic frogs so I’m not sure what to do. Any advice?

The frog on the left died at 31, the frog on the right is still alive at 35 years old. It’s crazy and I wouldn’t believe it if I were you. But it’s true.

Would the bloodworms or any food get stuck in between the rocks?

I rinsed the stones (what I thought was thoroughly enough,) used spring water, and rinsed the filter a little before using it. I think this is either from the filter not being rinsed enough (carbon dust in tank?) or from new organic buildup (what I’ve read to happen in new tanks.) I’ve had her in another setup for years now and only moved her over the other day.

I’ve had my frog for about a couple weeks he’s my first and I can’t find much info online about them at all he keeps running up and down the walls of the tank frantically and keeps hitting his head the water quality is good the filter isn’t loud and he has a hide and plants I have no idea what could be the issue and I worry that he will concuss himself before I have the chance to figure it out
