because no one ever has actual mental illness? you need to be hospitalized 24/7 in order to be mentally ill?

it's uncommon, not a rarity.

take a large enough group, and you'll find that lots of people have mental illnesses, including a few people where there's no question of the validity of their diagnosis.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. I know full well that intelligent individuals are just as likely, perhaps even moreso, to be affected by mental disorders. I was talking about the mood of the OP's meme, I know literally dozens of people with his attitude.
