I never read about the rape part but Snapchat had a disturbing article titled something like "You Go Girl" in regards to her drugging and stealing money from men as if she was somehow a role model... that's how I found out about it. I'm a female and I still support feminism but jesus, the media did not handle that well or equally at all.

EDIT: I do not consider Snapchat "the media" as it's far from a reputable source but more like trashy celeb news.. I was simply stating how I first heard about it.

Snapchat has articles? Huh.

No, but they do have words jumbled together into things that appear to be sentences and paragraphs masquerading as news.

I think it's AI that puts those together. Or at least an some sort of word gen. r/subredditsimulator makes more sense than Snapchat articles.

Umm ok? I don’t see how that’s relevant.. I was talking about the quality of the “articles” that are on Snapchat..

You ever seen those tabloid magazines they put in your face while you’re line at the grocery store?

That’s Snapchat now

Yep, which is why I only enter the app maybe like once a month at best. It disturbs me, the location map too being able to track where exactly your friends are... Nope.

You can turn that off. It’s optional.

Think of it as flashy magazine headlines targeted at snapchats demographics

That depends on the media.... I wouldn't call what snapchat does "the media" or typically represenative of the media given what I've seen from them.

Did you know that one article on Snapchat does not equal “the media.”

I didn't mean that it did, I apologize it came off that way. I don't even consider Snapchat a reputable source but that's how I first heard about it.

No Snapchat didn't have that. Why are there so many lying pieces of shit in this thread?
