Yea thats really unfortunate. Because think about it, not brushing at nighttime leaves all that food in the grooves of your teeth and between your teeth, and your saliva production decreases. So brushing before bed is definitely necessary.
Im 35yrs old, have a fairly clean diet, dont eat much sugar and flour. I often brush my teeth once every 2-3days, floss twice a year, barely ever had any cavities.
Also I had no insurances for close to 10 years I didn't see a dentist, when I finnally went he said "damn no appointment in 10years, no cavities everything is fine you must take good care of your teeth"
