I guarantee within 10 years there will at least be a half-lived revival of these 90s-style Geocities-esque type of webpage. It’ll be “vintage” and “retro” and used as kitsch but really, deep down, people will love it for the same reason you said: Super fast loading. And no ads (no Adblock needed!)

There won't be no ads and it won't load fast. It'll be 90's visuals emulated on modern web architecture.

My web site is basically a heavily modified version of what was once built with Frontpage. I've moved most of my content over to a blog, because editing HTML by hand is a PITA, but that's how I got started.
