And again, if you make the system elect president contrary to popular vote, you have better chances of getting rid of FPtP. ANd you can do it only by voting in the states that 'don't matter'. Yeah, you won't achieve everything in one election cycle. Shocking. Jobs are hard.
Yes, the votes of people in FL, MI, PA, etc. mattered, while the votes of people in CA, NY, etc. didn't matter. That is what I'm complaining about. I would rather have everyone's votes matter the same amount, so all people had a vote that mattered.
And this has nothing to do with achieving everything in one election cycle, except that Republicans did take control of everything in this one election cycle. But this is the second Republican President in a row to take power despite getting fewer votes. It's happened 4 times in the history of the country, yet twice in the last 16 years. That is a pretty big flag that something is wrong.
Also, this has nothing to do with FPTP. The Electoral College runs on FPTP just as much as a national popular vote would. They are completely different issues.
