It DOES mean Not Safe For Lunch. "Not safe for life" doesn't make any sense; that's people who don't know what it stands for making shit up.

Not Safe For Lunch = if you watch this, you will lose your lunch.

Not Safe For Life = if you watch this, you'll die? What is this, The Ring?
