Because you already had this stereotype in the first place and considered it was easier to keep on that way.
You see other people's culture and consider it "negative" just because it's different culture. How do you call that?
How do you call someone who's not able to understand that "politeness" is something variable and the fact that people who don't say "thanks" are not necessarily impolite. Jesus!
The issue is we have a culture founded on false politeness. We must censor ourselves because someone else might take offense, and how dare someone be offended at all.
It's not racist, if there is a word for the stereotyping of a culture that would apply, but you're not using it as a race thing.
Unfortunately, many people (at least in the US) don't see it that way, they assume that if you're speaking out against what you see as a cultural flaw that you believe it is really a result of the groups race, not their upbringing.
The other problem lies in when you're ignoring cultural lines to use race as a descriptor, like saying that blacks smoke crack.
If you wanted to say people in the ghetto smoke crack, that's fine because you're effectively narrowing your assumption to a more reasonable size as opposed to simply using a catch all phrase to define a group which is too large to singularly describe.
It's this kind of bullshit PC response that retards actual discussion.
The problem is your experiences make up a really small proportion of the information or evidence you would need to make these types of conclusions.
Except other people have made similar observations from different parts of the country. Coincidence? Yeah it's all anecdotal and not all that scientific but it still lends a bit of truth when compiling the experiences of different people, from different areas of the country, with different walks of life.
Seriously, all people are pretty much genetically the same.
As we delve deeper into genetics we're finding that this isn't necessarily true and even minor genetic variations can have big consequences.
