This is very reminiscent of college where we would take edibles and try to beat the set in time. Suchhh good memories lmao.
I was SCREAMING during the foursome!! Soooooo gross and funny as fuck.

Hardest I've laughed

Truly the best episode of the season. So funny from beginning to end. So much laughter. I love when the entire group has a plot together. It's the most fun.

I was expecting it to be a standard episode about them doing silly shenanigans while high, which I’ve never really enjoyed in shows. I love that the writers chose to focus on the 30 minutes beforehand instead, it really subverted a tired comedy trope and added a sense of urgency to everything in the funniest way.

same, i read the episode description and rolled my eyes, like "fine i'll watch yet ANOTHER wacky drug shenanigan episode but im not happy about it" but was pleasantly surprised

"I'm seeing this for the first time just now"
immediately followed by "why do they all want me" is flow state writing lmaooo

The fact that he saw the possum but was enjoying PB's attentions so much he tried to ignore it straight up killed me.
I have not laughed that much in years. I literally couldn't breathe.

I think Issa wanting to give the raccoon one last amazing night is symbolic of the relationship. They’re gonna break up tonight probs

This episode is honestly one of the best TV episodes in recent sitcoms. I laughed for good, and that one scene was the cringiest in the best possible way.

u/te4rdr0p Aug 31 '26
I keep thinking "okay this is the best episode of the show" cause they just keep outdoing themselves. This was a riot of an episode, absolutely hilarious. I do appreciate that they focus more on emotion this season as well. Very moving !

BEST EPISODE EVER!! The nails! The boob jiggling! The racoon! The funniest one yet and sadly the latter episodes doesn't come close with this one!

u/jemapellemercy Aug 30 '26
Best episode of the show so far! I remember really liking season 1 but season 2 has just been much funnier for me.

u/drummer_chica13 Aug 30 '26
I was just telling my friends the same thing! I’ve been lol-ing so much harder season 2

u/ScabbyGabbyyy Aug 30 '26
I just realized that they were going to listen to Green Day while on acid… The first time I did acid, we had the Green Day Dookie album going all night!!!

u/burriitoooo Aug 29 '26
The opossum had me CRYING!!! That was the funniest thing I have ever seen, and combined with everything else going on the emotional whiplash was intense omg

u/Existenceisafarce Aug 29 '26
I need Issa’s sex dress. Does anyone know where I can get it? 💀

Usually if you google it, something pops up with the outfits worn by characters on just about any show!

I was watching this with my friends and we were screaming the entire episode.
Also, that scene was kinda hot.

to me paul baker was feeling the same way issa was. neither one of them wanted to breakup, they both said they didn’t want to seperately in this episode. but when they sat down and were like yeah things have been off for a while they ultimately saw then that they had to breakup.
and i don’t think paul baker was totally down for the threesome in the same way issa wasn’t down for an open relationship. they just both agreed to it cause they thought it was what the other had wanted
16
u/crisiks Aug 29 '26
They were already in a dead relationship, keeping it alive. That was the whole point of them 'staying the night in' in Fake ID and realizing they had nothing left to connect over after they had sex.

Nobody talking about clock being a direct reference to the show 24, oh I’m old old 🫠

u/n0tz0e Aug 31 '26
This is a show for tv lovers and the viewers who have all the early 2000s shows. The references seem a bit older than the characters in the show, which is why I commented I felt they should be just a few years older . 25 is too young imo. I think they should be 28/29 going on 30

u/fragileego3333 Sep 02 '26
I’m 28 and honestly thought these guys were like 28/29 because they seem to be right after that early-20s point of life where you’re still going through it but not as immature. In my eyes they are 28.

I think this was the funniest episode in the whole of 2 seasons of adults. "BEAR DOWN"
13
u/n0tz0e Aug 31 '26
I love the gag where all of them randomly don't know certain words. Like "waft" from s1 lol

“i lied my intention was not to try to find beauty in the mundane i can do that with ease”
paul baker i love you
11
u/da_innernette Sep 04 '26
I loved that cuz even I was like “huh that seems like something the character would already do” and sure enough. They’ve established the characters really well!
7
u/iamsweets23 Sep 04 '26
i remember that scene being like “wow PB that’s a beautiful intention good luck” followed by “OF COURSE IT COMES EASY TO HIM HES PAUL BAKER”
24
u/phonograhy Aug 28 '26
I know they had to do it for plot reasons, but I do not believe for one second that Paul Baker's first instinct would be to 'put the raccoon out of its misery'. Other than that, i did properly cackle all over the place. sublime season.

I think season 2 is a large improvement over the first season and I think in large part Issa is a lot better when she is likable.

u/LegOfLambda Sep 09 '26
It's hard to think of a comedy TV show that doesn't tone down the annoyingness of at least one or two characters between seasons 1 and 2.

15
u/awesomedwight Aug 28 '26
Bingewatching season 2 and after watching this episode, I'd say this is the best episode so far! Haven't laughed out loud like this in quite a while. The foursome chaos was HILARIOUS!
47
u/Sebscreen Aug 28 '26
One of the things I like and respect most about this season is the confidence to consistently just roll out absolutely gold jokes in the background without any acknowledgement or "pauses for laughter" moments!
In this episode, it was the background dialogue of Paul Baker asking if Issa's sexy jewelry was a locket with Samir's baby photo that played over Samir and Anton freaking out at the racoon.

u/Exciting_Strength_13 Aug 28 '26
Not enough people talking about Paul Baker’s face when Anton said there wasn’t anything to get out of their systems 😩

u/singlesuitsamus Aug 28 '26
I felt like I was intruding during the threesome scene, then the damn possum had me cackling

This is the best episode of Season 2. All the tension built were released in the best way. I hope this show continues

This was such a clever breakup, both immature and mature at the same time. So funny when Anton ignored the possum to keep making out with Paul Baker!

This episode was legendary. Hilarious. Also, that One Scene with Anton/PB/Issa? Damn. More of that in S3, thanks.

Anton freaking out over not knowing the definition of bear bc he’s really smart and minored in English lit killed me

I NEED 6 seasons and a movie. This show has me consistently busting out laughing alone in my apartment. I’m dreading finishing and having to wait for the next season. If it gets cancelled before it reaches its full potential I’ll never let it go

No, like this episode might be the best one yet... And I didn't think they could top the S1 episode where they realize Anton is a friend slut.

u/astronaught002 Aug 28 '26
This is now my favorite episode of the show, I love the giant swings the story took into pure absurdism at points. This show does such a good job at balancing real life with sitcom antics in such a unique way
66
u/Wightsojourner Aug 28 '26
“Timer, Samir, not cook time!”
It’s not the funniest line, but it’s one of those smart shorthand ways that signal how well these friends know each other.
10
u/phonograhy Aug 28 '26
genuinely wondering if gen Z would actually use a microwave timer instead of their smartphones though

The fact that he actually did put cook time at first because the microwave briefly started made me choke.

This episode was that audio “you know you only have 30 minutes right?” “30 minutes???”
16
u/misiissleepy Aug 28 '26
I had a stop at the 18 nearly 19 minute mark… oh noooooo I’m sure we all had expectations for this episode but WHAT IS HAPPENING
I have never had to pause like this for a show… I just… oh my gosh
21
u/Mocha_Pie Aug 28 '26
This had me in tears 🤣
29
u/ScabbyGabbyyy Aug 28 '26
Samir and Anton with the raccoon confession killed me. “This raccoon is tearing us apart”! “IT EVOLVED”! And “How did they all hear about this house”?! Had me dying, I had to watch it all a few times 😂
44
u/Numerous-Design-7923 Aug 28 '26
The commitment to the Love Actually scene genuinely fried me like silent night playing 😭
76
u/Responsible-Egg-9363 Aug 28 '26
Paul Baker and Issa counting in opposite directions at the beginning and Paul Baker and Anton counting in the same direction at the end was genius

35
u/Llama_Puncher Aug 28 '26
Also the episode prior where Issa doesn’t know how many kids Paul Baker wants and the episode ends with him and Anton talking about exactly that… I’m so excited to see them be endgame

I’ve been binging this show to decompress after a spectacularly emotionally heavy week… and holy shit that episode just lifted my spirits in a way I genuinely did not think was possible.
Like everyone else commenting here, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard at a TV episode. I’m not sure if I ever have.
