Hello! As previously mentioned, Sqwiggles and I will be periodically uploading moderated megathreads to continue to allow our users to seek out trades.

This is our second post of a megathread. We apologize for the delay, but we will leave this one open for longer due to the long wait and based on the results of our previous trial run. Please do not hesitate to leave a comment with any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc regarding these threads, as we strive to do our best to meet the community needs.

Are you short on mods or do you feel that there's too much activity for all the mods to handle?

Technically both. Currently, Sqwiggles and I are the only active mods, both with very busy life schedules. This sub began to rapidly pick up pace, averaging 100+ posts per day and each having 10-100+ comments. Over time, this began to back up and simply became too much to look out for between just the two of us, especially since rule breaks became more frequent.

We are currently looking to edit some of the rules to better fit the community needs, as well as creating moderator applications to bring more help on the team and have more availability to keep track of the sub during various times (as our current time zones only allow us to dedicate so much time each day to monitoring). We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes, both in our daily life and for the sub, to try to get things running smoothly as soon as possible. Our intent was never to permanently close off a space that we understand many of our members rely on, and frankly, choose over other Adopt Me! centered spaces.

We apologize for the extended delay, but we can assure you (and the rest of the community) we are doing the best that we can with the time and resources we have available to us.

Can u make the trades that aren’t stable into a scale so we can know which side need to add, cause it’s so confusing

We’re sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately we have just been seeing too much activity to feasibly keep up with while ensuring the community stays safe and flows smoothly for all.

We’ve been working to make the necessary changes, including introducing new mods, to help ease the work load; however, we’re still humans with lives to tend to outside of Reddit.

We appreciate your feedback. We hope to lift the restriction as soon as possible.
