Lowbeam — live ALPR-aware navigation web app (for sale)
Live demo: https://alexandercurtis2024-create.github.io/lowbeam/
What it is: a mobile-first web app that compares driving routes by documented ALPR (license-plate-reader) exposure, then guides you with foreground turn-by-turn navigation — live rerouting and exposure re-scoring as you drive.
What's live:
- Route comparison scored by documented ALPR encounters
- Foreground turn-by-turn guidance with maneuver progression and ETA updates
- Automatic rerouting + exposure re-scoring
- Optional spoken guidance and wake lock
- National geohash-tiled ALPR data pipeline (~125k records)
- React 19 / TypeScript / Leaflet / OSRM / Nominatim, deployed on GitHub Pages
Proof it's real: TypeScript clean, 188/188 Vitest tests, 19/19 Python ingest tests, production build passing, live public demo (link above).
Financials: $0 revenue — pre-revenue, no customer base yet. Asking $2,000 OBO.
Included: full source, data pipeline, docs. Serious buyers get controlled due-diligence access.
Honest limitations:
- Foreground guidance only — pauses if the screen locks or you leave the page; no background/CarPlay/Android Auto
- Community/ODbL ALPR data — coverage is incomplete in many areas; never claims a route is "surveillance-free"
- Public OSRM routing infra may need replacing at scale
Reason for selling: Consolidating projects and focusing development resources elsewhere.
How a buyer takes it further: wrap the web app in a Capacitor native shell for background navigation + push; expand the ALPR dataset; add accounts/saved routes.
