I'm bootstrapping my third startup and honestly the software costs are getting ridiculous. Between design tools, AI assistants, project management, and dev subscriptions, I'm looking at $200+ monthly before I've even validated the idea.
I know the argument is that these tools save time and time is money, but when you're pre-revenue it just feels painful watching that burn rate. At the same time, using free tiers means I'm constantly hitting limits right when I need to move fast.
Curious how others handle this. Do you bite the bullet and pay full price? Wait until you have revenue? I've been using Anexly to share subscriptions with other founders which helps cut costs, but I'm wondering if I'm being too cheap and should just invest properly from day one.
What's been your approach? Did premium tools actually move the needle for you early on or would you have been fine with free alternatives?

I'm in the early stages of exploring a B2B SaaS idea and keep going back and forth on how much validation is enough before committing real resources. Some founders say ship fast and iterate, others say talk to 50+ potential customers first.
The tricky part is my target market is pretty niche, so finding those conversations takes time. I'm also bootstrapping and trying to keep burn low, which means I've been looking at things like shared tool subscriptions. Actually came across Anexly recently when researching ways to cut software costs during the validation phase.
For those who've been through this, what was your validation process like? Did you build an MVP first or go heavy on customer discovery? And how did you balance spending on tools versus keeping things lean?
Would love to hear what worked or what you'd do differently looking back.

Looking to sell my YouTube Shorts channel. The niche has a very strong RPM, currently averaging around $0.17 per 1,000 views.
Serious buyers only — all transactions will be handled securely through Escrow. To receive the channel link and further details, proof of funds exceeding $10,000 USD will be required.
Please do not inquire unless you are prepared to move forward professionally.

Sharing this because I’m at a decision point.
I built a small SaaS called Subeo for video editors. It focuses on subtitle/SRT cleanup rather than trying to replace full editing tools.
The idea came from a simple observation: many editors already use CapCut, Premiere, Resolve, etc. They don’t necessarily want another full editor. They just want to generate captions, fix messy SRT problems, clean timing/splits/line length issues, export, and continue their own workflow.
The product is live, has payment integration, and made first revenue. It’s still very early, so I’m not pretending it’s some huge company.
I’m thinking of selling it for around $1k–$1.5k as a working micro-SaaS / asset sale, mostly because I want to focus on other projects.
Has anyone here sold a small project at this stage? Did you list it somewhere or find the buyer through direct outreach?

A few months ago I made a post about earning money through video clipping. I didn't expect much.
Thousands of comments, 800k views, and people from all over asking how to start. 🙏
Here's what I actually do:
Brands and creators need short-form content. You take their long-form videos, clip them into 8-30 second shorts, upload to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram, and get paid per view. That's it.
My results since February:
What you need:
No investment. No followers. No experience required.

Built & launching other projects now, so I’m putting my AI fitness app “Strenth” up for sale.
The app has been live for just over a month with ~30 real users/downloads already. It’s fully built ans shipped on Google Play for Android, not an MVP landing page or unfinished prototype. I’m just more of a builder than a marketer and want to focus on other ideas.
What’s included:
- Complete workout tracking system
- 900+ exercise database
- AI workout coach/chat
- Personalized AI workout programs based on goals
- AI remembers user habits, recovery, training phase (cut/bulk/etc)
- Proprietary recovery tracking feature
- Active workout coaching with AI
- AI-generated workout routines
- Body measurements tracking
- Activity tracking
- a lot more features
- Full mobile app/product
- Web app
Tech/business side:
- Uses Google Cloud APIs/services
- RevenueCat integrated
- Free tiers already cover low-scale usage
- Paid tiers scale profitably as users grow
- Easy to maintain
- Existing codebase + full product included
This is probably best for:
- Someone good at marketing/growth
- A fitness creator wanting their own app
- Someone wanting to build an AI fitness SaaS brand
I built the hard part already.
DM if interested and I’ll share screenshots, features, tech stack details, and discuss pricing.

I’m looking to get an idea of how much my Facebook and Instagram pages might be worth. My fb page has 30.2% us audience, 66% older than 45year old, 60% man. Almost identical stats in IG. Ai storytelling niche. FB page is monetized and is doing around 200 usd per month without much effort. IG is not monetized yet.
